I hear you guys about too many liberals moving to TN, but we are a LONG way away from them actually turning the state purple/blue.....
I mean, 2016 Trump won by 650K votes in TN, and only 3 of our 95 counties went for Clinton (Davidson, Shelby, and Haywood). I’ll let you figure out what led to her carrying Shelby and Haywood......

Oh.. I know this. The fantastic job that the Memphis mayor is doing and the hopes that Clinton could do the same for the entire country?
In all seriousness, when's the last time a Republican candidate for President has carried Shelby or Davidson county? 1988?

Everyone thinks it funny when a corporation moves to Texas from NY or CA. Well, many times they take their employees with them and with them, their Blue votes. It's called "Blue Move" and it is a real thing.
Libs are not smart enough to realize that by voting Democratic in TX they will create the same environment that caused their companies to flee the overtaxed States, to begin with.

I think the overall thought in this thread is the issue in TX.
"Tx is in danger of turning Blue"
Response "LMAO! ok dumb arse sure... bud... whatever!"
I'm waiting to see if anybody will come on the board to say "We warned you".
Democrats picked up 12 House seats... Fort Worth is on the verge of going blue.
Cruz held his Senate seat by just 3 points. (In 2012, he coasted to victory by 16 points.) Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, Attorney General Ken Paxton, and Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller all won by less than 5 points.
And considering Abbott won in a land slide, none of those should be close. At all.
IF the GOP doesn't start taking these seriously, we only will have ourselves to blame

Just need to stop the dead people and illegals from voting by requiring ID, but the Dems know that.

There’s no flipping. It’s illegal voting.
Texas’ GOP AG did a thorough review and found about 50,000 votes by non-citizens over a 20-year period. That is a bit more than 2000 per year in a state with 15 million voters. Not many Texas elections have been decided by less than 1/10 of one percent. And it does not even address the question of whether those non-citizens were legal or illegal residents.

a Democrat came within striking distance of a Senate seat
What...you don't think 1.5% is within striking distance?
Texas GOP better get their shite together. There's no excuse for that clown O'Rourke to have gotten that close.

Exactly.
A candidate like Marsha Blackburn who was fairly unpopular among many people still defeated a hugely popular former governor in Phil Bredesen.

Texans getting replaced daily by the same people and same policies that destroyed San Fran, Seattle, Chicago, New York, etc..
Pair that with an influx of strategically placed Central American "refugees" and "asylum seekers"
The only positive is that as Texas moves the wrong way, many of the overlooked Midwestern states are trending back red

Cruz won by 214,921 votes. That was also against a candidate who had his own dedicated show on HBO chronicling his entire campaign. Robert O'Rourke also had a ton of outside money pouring in from PACs outside the state.

Republicans need to be worried about every seat every election

There were Texas going blue threads back in 2008. Still hasn’t happened.
And while Cruz was closer than it should have been, he still won by 200,000+ votes. That’s the entire city of Corpus, Waco, Lubbock, or Midland.
That’s with Beto receiving the most money for a senate race evarr and the media sitting on stories that would have sunk him with all the suburban moms undoubtedly.

Don’t flatter yourself. If you pump double digit millions of outside money into ANY senate or house seat, you are going to make it interesting.
You should be pissed off that the party is still pissing away resources on Beto the clown.
