I'm in East Texas. My heat source is propane as I live out in the country. I guess I have to hope I keep getting the electricity to run the HVAC. But it sure is pretty here looking at the snow and out over the water to the other side of the cove. If worse comes to worse, I have no firewood.

It's not hard, follow the money. Power producers love the shite and can blame anyone or any weather anomaly to manipulate prices. Texans are paying for smart meters that don't belong to them. Think about that.

I’m south of Houston and our power went out at 5:30 this morning and it’s still out....we have a 3 year old and a 1 year old....we are covered in blankets...hopefully the power comes back on soon...starting to get colder in the house.....I guess if it doesn’t we will be out in my truck with the heater on

Pipeline quality natural gas is not an issue in cold weather.
It's only an issue when the gas stream is contaminated with water and hydrates form. When they do form pipeline operators usually know exactly where they form and can be addressed.

In central Texas and we run off gas. Makes for a lower electric bill but no electricity makes for no heat. Been out for about 2 hours now and it’s starting get prettt chilly inside now.

Unless the equipment freezes.....which causes numerous problems...compressors have issues starting/regulators freezing/technicians can’t reach a location to work on equipment.
Pipeline quality gas comes from dirty gas that is processed....if the dirty gas stops coming in you don’t get pipeline quality gas
