Pharmaceutical companies and alcohol companies pay politicians to take the cheaper, safer, healthier alternative off the market.

Texans love to talk about small government and promoting freedom but the bible thumpers win out when it comes down to it.

guy with OU on his handle that has never been south of I-20 wants to talk about bible thumpers ruining weed and not the problem the TX house has with GOPe RINOs toting Mitch McConnell politics.

True power is in being able to set low speed limits and selectively enforce them based on what is beneficial to you.

Of all the places we wish to emulate, our government chose Mississippi. I guess it’s clear why Florida is kicking our asses now. We were on fire just a few years ago and the offices are held by the same people. Who is pulling the strings? What do Jeff Yass and Trey Harris have against THC?

Good, frick all that shite.

What does this mean exactly? Like delta-9? I don’t know the weed laws in Texas.

A couple of times each school year, our high school has to call the ambulance to one who ate a gummy - probably a first timer that didn’t know they needed to not eat the whole thing.

Texas is an island of prosperity surrounded by Mexico, Louisiana, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Why would Texas want to emulate any of those places?

I tried some of a sativa variety and it did that to me for over 24hrs. I didn't like that at all.

I tried the indica kind and it didn't mess me up just made me sleep better.

I am also surprised that something that intoxicating with duration of intoxication is purchasable so easily.

So, how does it ban THC products?

I know Alabama passed a bill that restricted THC products and where/when they can be sold, which the retailers association had a fit about...
One of those times where govt steps in to solve an non-problem and end up wasting more money. A lot of people buy the stuff to help with sleep and pain management. Alabama charges sales tax on this stuff and everyone knows, THC products are not addictive and safer than alcohol. Now people will just go back to getting what they need from "their guy". No taxes will be collected, more arrests will be made for distribution, and more people incarcerated, with zero affect on the supply OR demand.

Just dumb!
