Well yes its been open for decades until the last two years. It appears Texans resent immigration enforcement so all they need to do is vote for the 28 Democrat and they can have illegals everywhere again.

We told all the whiny conservatives to pay attention to the big picture, but complaining about everything was more important to them.

You can't spend every day of your life telling people how awful the current administration is and not expect the average uninformed voter to not go along with the sentiment.

I tried for years to teach people on this board how to make valid criticisms like men, but I was just screaming into the void. I tried logic, reason, pleading, insults. Nothing worked.

Now we all get to pay the price for their emotions.

Yep. People are making it more complicated than it is.

I agree that is not that complicated.

The problem is getting the Texas Pub party leadership to listen to the rank & file.

If ICE continues to hassle legal Hispanics, the task will be much harder.

that’s correct.

which is why I found it quite disturbing many of you were celebrating the Dems wins in Texas as some sort of victory for you.

Conversely, the "panicans" were telling Trump's sycophants what wasn't working, but they wouldn't listen. Instead, they resorted to insulting them by calling them "panicans", "cucks", "libs in sheep's clothing", etc.

The lack of border enforcement while Biden was in office is what did TX in.

I think there's still a narrow path but it would involve winning every swing state - so it would be like a 1% chance versus a 0% chance.

Another reason to worry about the Colorodofication of Texas and Georgia is that they can gerrymander those states to give them permanent control of the House as well.

I've been saying this for years. Democrats (the braintrust at least) are playing the long game while you are distracted with nonsense like tranny story time and executive ballrooms.

The goal - move the party ideology to the far left, remove political roadblocks and build the resources and infrastructure to flip Texas blue. Then it's game over - losing Texas is the equivalent of losing the queen on a chess board.

The R’s going forward will have no future path to the WH or maybe even to Texas itself until/unless the R party top-to-bottom gets infused with people who actually play to win for conservatism instead of being full of people who play not to lose and have become experts at ….doing not much.

The Dem Party is absolutely horrific. There is nothing I agree with them about.

But I will give those frickers credit in that they are constantly on the offense and doing everything and anything they can, at all times, By Any Means Necessary….to push their “progressive” agenda.

This royal arsse kicking we just received was not all 100% Trump and gas prices and Iran. The rest of the GOP provided absolutely no reason or excuse for voters to think they were fighting for anything (other than their own re-elections).

This

I was called a panican for even mentioning that at 60, I was out of work and not able to find another job, which was making things financially tough.

Oh, I was also called a Democrat.

I do think this election was kind of a one-off.

But, it's kindal like when Roger Bannster broke the 4-minute mile. After he showed it could be done, a bunch of people did it soon after.
