No issue with him going on vacation. I do have an issue with him going to Mexico. Plenty of warm vacation spots in the USA. USVI, HI, PR, FL.

How is this any different from when we call out Pelosi and Auntie Maxine for deplorable living conditions in their districts?
Unless this is looked upon as a once in a generation weather anomaly vs everyday living. Also, this is happening now and we'll see if Cruz does anything to help prevent/ mitigate the next power crisis.

He's a U.S. Senator who represents his state at the national level. A state of emergency has been called in Texas. What more can he do? I do think it bad optics to take your family to Cancun in the middle of a crisis, but there is little that he can do but make speeches and grant interviews.
