Who cares. He literally cant do anything about it. Also why is this an issue? Are people saying "TEXANS ARE FREEZING TO DEATH WHILE TED VACATIONS?!?!?" but peopple arent saying that when we learn about Biden playing Mario Kart at camp david, while thousands freeze and thousands die from Covid. SO dumb

Obviously not the selfish dicks on this board. But my family and friends in Texas who are freezing in blackouts cause there is not enough energy - and btw who vote for Cruz - certainly care.

Voters will remember this.

So, you blame Ted for Texas' current situation or not standing in solidarity with you and freezing?

Care that he went to Cancun? Why? What exactly do you think he's supposed to be doing right now?

Are your family members dumb enough to vote for a Democrat over one of the best Senators in our nation, because he took a vacation?

Perhaps. Indeed there is nothing Cruz could have done to prevent what is going on right now. But if it comes to it the Congress can and has gotten invoked in providing emergency aide for other natural disasters.

He may not have control but as you admitted it looks bad.

The Dem Austin mayor caught a lot of shite for telling me to not travel for thanksgiving while he was in Mexico. He deservedly got criticized for it.

Cruz should know better. At least postpone it until the power is back on. We all know it looks like shite when millions of Texans are left out in the cold and dark and one of their most recognizable elected officials flys off to warm weather.

Okay. Now give us a link to Ted Cruz telling Texans not to travel right now, and then you'll have a point.

I also got an answer from his office yesterday in response to my email. An actual answer, not a form response.

Did he tell people not to vacation before he went on vacation? "Hypocrite" does not mean "he's doing something I don't like".

Would you be warmer if he was there?

Depending on where you lived, we went without power for 2 to 4 weeks (probably longer for some folks) after Michael. I'd have been pissed if the Governor went on vacation during that time, but why would I care what Rubio was doing? May as well stick to his foam parties.

I look at it like what happens during a Hurricane in Louisiana. Usually, our US Senators and Congressmen are in Louisiana to help with the recovery, assess damage, meet with local officials, etc.

Nothing Cruz does would ever be correct for you or the other leftist jagoffs. It’s stupid.

There's no possible way you could come anywhere close to being this stupid while still being able to form enough coherent thoughts to make a message board post.

It's just not possible.

This is a horrible look and disappointed in Cruz. There is plenty he could or should be doing in terms of coordinating a federal relief response. Its probably under control and I am sure he can communicate from Cancun as easily as he could from Houston but still not a good look. Better to be seen than to be in Cancun when millions are suffering.

Stop playing into the nonsense the Dems want you to care about. The man took a vacation. It's not a big deal.
