I've got some great pics from going on my buddy's boat of it having to sit in the Chesapeake for two weeks because of quarantining.
It's phenomenal how some of the greatest technological advances in human history have allowed us a pocket-sized personal device which can near-instantly find an almost infinite amount of information......and we still have people who can't even bother to google simple shite like that.

Try what Montreal went through years ago. Every transmission line to the city except for one collapsed under ice. Miles of transmission lines down, sub zero temps. That is not corrected within a week ....They were one hour away from losing their water plant. Every wood power pole in the northeast was shipped to build temporary towers before steel could be brought in to replace what was on the ground. That's chaos!

All of the above energy sources politicians and policies, green subsidization, vilification of fossil fuels despite debatable and fraudulent climate models predicting gloom and doom due to anthropogenic co2 emissions, make the perfect storm.
California was the canary in the coal mine. Made no difference. Texas, same. Even Abbott is blaming ERCOT.
Where are the leaders to scream you need base load coal, nuclear, and natural gas? Renewables are a niche to make everyone feel good about themselves. But the subsidization of renewables since the early nineties, 30;years, along with deregulation of generation, has distorted the market, resulting in 10s of thousands if not 100s of thousands of MW of base load coal plants to be shuttered.
We can’t build coal. China can and is. We can’t build nuclear. Ask SCE&G and Georgia power. Vogtle? When?
I finally decided to install an emergency backup generator. But I think I’ll be overrun by the masses when the shite hits the fan. I was dumb and lost all my armament in an unfortunate boating accident.
President Trump is still president. The election was stolen.
