Probably because Tim Tebow is a superior physical specimen than Colin Kaepernick.
He is genetically superior.
That is why he is getting a second chance. Let that sink in, Colin.

They refuse to accept that Crapperneck was an average QB who wanted top 3 pay. Tebow is changing positions and taking a major pay cut. Not really white privilege. But stupid is stupid.

Critics once said Kaepernick's kneeling was a disrespectful distraction. Tebow has been celebrated for it.
The stupidity of the left amuses me.

It's silly to compare this to Kaepernick. Tebow is from Jacksonville and was a star at a nearby university. His ability to draw in that specific market coupled with the fact that his college coach is now the head coach of the team are the only reasons Tebow is getting a shot. His phone hasn't exactly been ringing off the hook since he left the NFL.

CK has been contacted multiple times by NFLteams. He refuses to entertain a back up role. He had a workout a couple of years ago and CK turned it into a media circus. Let’s not let facts get in the way

Tebow is probably one of the nicest guys on the planet... and he also recognizes that he sucks as a QB and is willing to try something else.
Well, he's also incredibly arrogant, because he should have obviously recognized this fact 10 years ago, and he could have played in the NFL at another position this entire time. Instead, he continued to try and play QB when it was obvious he was never going to play that role in the NFL, and like Keap in a way** brought too much controversy to a team if he was not gong to be the starter.
Obviously he's done what he wanted, but there's no reason as athletic as he was he could not have found a role in the NFL had he wanted to humble himself a bit and not be the center of attention at the QB position. Kind of an odd flaw for a guy who, like you say, really does seem to be such an nice guy overall.
** What I mean by the Kaep comparison is that fans would never shut up when Teebow was the back up on their team and were constantly howling for him to replace the starter if the guy even threw a pick. He was not talented enough and too much trouble to bring in as a backup because of that.

Why is Tim Tebow getting an NFL job instead of Colin Kaepernick?
One of them glorifies God and the other glorifies Fidel Castro.

Everyone forget about Kaepernick’s clown show workouts with NFL teams.

Tebow didn’t sue his employer.
He also didn't coat his employer, and the entire league revenue, single handed, like Kapernick did.

Nobody is mentioning the fact the Urban and Timmay have a past fling. This is gay bromance v2.0.

Sean Payton actually approached Tim Tebow before Taysom Hill to play the Taysom Hill role Taysom is currently playing. Tim said no and hear we are. Tebow should do well in a QB/TE/H-back special situation role. He should have been doing that from the get go.
But I understand from a money perspective the starting QB position is a much better paying position. But now if you are playing well at the Taysom Hill role you're probably going to get paid Taysom Hill money. IIRC Taysom's base is $7.35 million right now.

Yeah, this is a big factor.

didn't they set up some sort of mini-pro-day solely to evaluate Kaepernick
They did. He did not show up where he was supposed to. Instead he turned it into a photo op at some other location. The message, as I understood it, teams did not show up. I am a victim of racism, again. It was another transparently absurd example in the use of Hegelian Dialectic.
There was not much feedback at the time, thankfully. But here we are again.

I get it...it would be incredibly hard to go from winning the Heisman as a QB to being honest enough with yourself to acknowledge that if you want to stay in the league you'll need to play another role. We've actually seen in with tons of players in the past...though those tended to be black QBs where their style or often times seize simply did not translate to what teams wanted/needed.
In the end, whether it was hubris or simply that Tebow did not want to play in the league enough to switch positions early on we'll likely never know. He seems to have lived his life by doing what made him happy and has never complained that a team or the league was screwing him over by not giving him a QB spot...though his fans did that plenty.
Other than comparing them in terms of not being talented enough to warrant the headache that would have been caused by having them on the roster as a backup QB, there are no comparisons to the way each guy behaved about their time in the league.

Garbage article that the internet is worse off for hosting in any fashion.
Tebow never did anything to put a shadow on the NFL or any of his teams.
Tebow kneeling wasn't controversial because he didn't do it during the Nationak Anthem, he did it when thousands of other players did after scoring TDs.
Tebow was an adequate AA baseball player who was too old with too limited a potential to ever make the majors, but he sold a ton of tickets, made fans happy, and by all accounts of his coaches was a great teammate to the younger players. Only person who calls that a "failure" is a bitter, contentious hack.
Tebow wouldn't get a call if Urban wasn't the coach, but he is.
Tebow wouldn't get a call if the team wasn't in Jacksonville, but it is.
Tebow will get cut during fall camp and will still leave with a smile and walk back into broadcasting, content that he gave the NFL opportunity as much as he wanted to.

The racist wokehead is none of those things. He won't even show up to a workout he invited teams to.
