-Refused to fire Fauci, gave him a medal, and included him in his campaign ads
-Attacked Kemp and DeSantis for defying Fauci
-Praised Charlie Crist and Gavin Newsom repeatedly

He is doing the opposite. He's trying to purge conservatives and replace them with RINO's. Nearly every single person on his team worked for Bush, McCain, or Ryan. Byron Donalds, another ally, sided with Kamala Harris and argued that Florida's curriculum was racist. Or you can say Trump worked with McCarthy to get a conservative ally elected. Both had the same goal but different reasons. McCarthy's reason was retribution and animus. Trump's reason was apparent loyalty. Trump likes loyalty.

But let's be transparent here. It is mostly DeSantis supporters that supported Good over McGuire. It's like his race was a psychological proxy of the presidential primary. The online folks with alligators in their twitter handles really wanted McGuire to lose and rub it in Trump supporters' faces.
Ideologically speaking this race is a push. Both will vote the right way but from Trump's perspective he has a lot more confidence in McGuire working with him and not against him.
