The picture in the tweet is a perfect depiction of “Mississippi white man.”

As my friends and I used to say all the time, if you’re scared, say you’re scared.

Oh great.

So it’s OK to have illegal voting districts and they know it.

Someone is going to sue and they will have to have a special session and election anyway. I would if I lived in MS.

Quit being stupid. You won't be able to redraw them for this years elections because you already held primaries. 2004 Supreme Court decision states once elections begin, as they have here, the rules and districts are frozen in place.

No need for special session. It can be fixed in regular session in January.

Any racially gerrymandered map is illegal. LA understands this and rushed to fix it because you cant have elections with an illegal map

As I've said before, if a state has a court mandated majority minority district, but refuses to immediately draw new maps, they must be sued immediately and forced to do so.

MS attorneys, time to step up!

I don't think Reeves " chickened out ", I think he realized it was to close to implement, and the Black's in the Mississippi Legislature, and Civil Rights groups, were going throw up every conceivable road block imaginable.

The LA Senate just passed a map that is STILL racially gerrymandered.

Ron Desantis has been the best Republican governor in the US hands down . These other governors need to grow some balls. Connecticut has all democrats congress members with a similar margin of victory for Democrats as Louisiana has for Republicans.

They will fix this for the future, in January. Special sessions cost $50,000 per day. Why do it? It will be fixed before the 2028 election season.

There is no need to call one for the Supreme Court districts. The Fifth Circuit struck down the federal court's map, reinstating the State's map she threw out. In other words, the state's Supreme Court redistricting is already in place.
