Do you expect people to just buy into your doomer scenario? Oh my God, the layoffs are just around the corner! We added 200k jobs last month, more than expected, but we're all doomed!

You take the absolute worst scenario and assume it will undoubtedly occur due to your TDS. Even when there's evidence to the contrary. You've already called Trump a dictator, so we know you have no shame. I kinda want to see how far into lunacy you're gonna go.

No, I fully expect yall to hold your ground just like you have and get totally blindsided by this thing.

I dont think y'all can keep up with your changing narratives.

Give all households ~ $2,100 dollars per American
frick that. We did that during COVID.

Another creative way would be to give the bottom 90% of taxpayers their $2,100 per person, then give an additional $2,100 per person(stimulus) in place of giving the top 10% of earners their tariff payback.
frick this too. You want a handout?

"You can't tax your way to prosperity" - Conservatives for as long as I can remember.

"Taxes will improve the lives of everyone involved"- "conservatives" now.

If you're worried about the US economy READ THIS

I'm not nearly as worried about the economy as I am about keeping the 50-64 and 65+ voting blocks in 2026.

If market losses haven't started to come back before midterm campaigns, forget about keeping the House and the Senate. And then if they don't come back pretty quickly, we'll have Pretty Boy in the White House, open broders again, and a renewal of all the woke/tranny bullshite.

50-64+ shifted strongly to Trump, and he tied with 65+. Lose those two in a big way, and everything goes down the toilet.

Democrats have been preaching that taxes need to be increased for decades.

You should be thrilled.

Why is Reagan in his pajamas?

It was probably for Regan’s weekly radio address and not meant for video recording.

But Reagan is definitely missing on one or two key points about our situation today.

When nearly every thing is imported, you have lost that manufacturing edge. Especially if you are getting dumped on like Shrimping industry.

No matter how much efficiency you put in shrimping, the high cost of diesel and government regulations on TEDs, you are never going to beat the price of imported shrimp without a tariff.

As an aside, Ronald Reagan is often celebrated by “free market” conservatives as a champion of laissez-faire economics. The problem here is Reagan’s rhetoric often did not match his record.

Reagan is often deemed to be the great “deregulator” but this is largely a myth. Reagan did not alter the progressive regulatory frameworks established by the New Deal and Great Society and government bureaucracies continued to expand under Reagan’s two terms in office.

Reagan also reneged on his promise to return to the Gold Standard and the monetary schemes of the Federal Reserve continued unimpeded. The recently overturned Chevron Doctrine also was established by the SCOTUS in the 1980s, further empowering the administrative state.

In short, the regulatory state — like all levels of the Federal government — continued to expand in the 1980s. The continued loss of manufacturers jobs in the United States coincided with this expansion.

Liberty is often relinquished during times of government expansion. This is also true of economic liberty.

That would be a lot more convincing if we hadn't already seen the effects of the first round of tariffs from 2018 and 2019.

That Reagan speech was pre-destruction of U.S. Industry

It was also pre-destruction of the American education system for which Reagan was a major accomplice

= which Reagan locked in by NOT keeping his campaign promise to end the Department of Education that Carter gave to the marxists just a couple of years earlier

Reagan was effectively the leader of the attack on American childrens education and future then and the 45 years since.

(hoping everyone under 55 can muster enough school system derived intellect to see the truth about Ronnie)
