Yeah, we could try asking nicely for them to go back home. Why didn't anyone think of that?

Also, your housekeeper doesn't sound very bright.

Or, she is really an illegal and using false papers and OP is willfully ignorant.

So your position is that we DO need ICE patrolling cities and suburbs demanding to see papers indefinitely? That's what you're advocating for and supporting?

Or are you just shitposting and you don't actually care?

Is she illegal? If so, she should be scared. So scared that she packs up and gets out of Our Country and you should be arrested for hiring an illegal. If she's not illegal, she's just stupid.

What "third way" do you think would work?

As for me, I believe in good police work, which means that sometimes innocent people will be interviewed by the police.

My housekeeper texted me yesterday that she doesn't feel safe leaving her house right now because police and ICE are persecuting Latino people. She has legal status. She said she can't work until this ICE stuff dies down. She lives in Kenner.

If she is here legally, then what are they going to do to her?

Well, the people you voted for (and don’t try to act like you didn’t) opened the borders to anyone and everyone, fought states who were trying to slow the tide, and created the problem we are currently in.

You progressives have zero ability to self-reflect.

Also, your housekeeper is an idiot, likely being gaslit by your own political biases.

Our nanny, a legal American citizen originally from DR, goes about her day with no concerns or problems, including taking cruises and trips in and out of the USA, all in the last 6 months.

And we live in a far redder city and state.

Well... duh.

It's called law and order.

People get detained every day- sometimes they get arrested sometimes they get let go- you only seem to care because it's illegal aliens getting detained.

My husband got detained once on i20 because he fit the physical and vehicle description of someone the cops were actively looking for. He wasn't the dude, they let him go. I don't remember him crying about it.

No, you're right, Sally. Everyone should be prepared to be detained if a government agent suspects that they maybe don't belong or maybe did something wrong at some point. No one in America should ever expect to be left alone by the government. It's the only way to keep us safe.

You would be an absolute hit at a MADD meeting discussing increased sobriety checkpoints and their rights violations around any holidays.

Close the borders and if there is credible evidence that someone is in the country illegally, deport that person.

I can't tell you how my life will end. But I'm 100% confident it won't end in being murdered by an illegal immigrant.

Oddly enough, every person murdered/killed by an illegal immigrant thought the same way. That young gal in Atlanta a year or so ago who was raped/murdered while jogging didn’t wake up that morning with a premonition that her life would violently end that day.

The adults and children killed at the birthday party in Stockton? Appears they were shot by illegals in a gang. I’m sure those children blowing out candles on a cake didn’t think their Dora party would end in gunfire.

That Ukrainian gal murdered in Charlotte? She never had a thought in her mind that she’d be stabbed to death on a train, by a crazy black man with 40+ arrests, while bystanders on the train sat by and did nothing.

There are truly some stupid posters here.

A lot of people who are here legally have been unlawfully detained, including citizens

That's why people are concerned. Do I think their fear is overstated? Sure.

Of course not. You and your husband would never question the government. They always have your best interests at heart.

How many weeks was he detained?

Until the borders are secure and the problem is contained? Yes. This is exactly what the people voted for. Sorry you dont like it.

To keep her job by making u think she's legal

Same "purpose " a legal immigrant would be scared not to be in public.
