Not much they can do with that shite. Where you gonna find ammunition for that outside whatever stockpile they might have. Plus those humvees are probably close two decades old, most of that shite is obsolete. And the drone . Good luck at figuring out how that works. That part of the world ain't technologically advance per se.

Bigger question is how you let a bunch of sheep herders with AKs take over a country. That Afghan government must be some slop.

Taliban are now less than 93 miles from Kabul.

"All local government officials, including the provincial governor, have been evacuated towards Kabul," a Ghazni city official told international press outlets. Capture of the city puts the Taliban in an offensive position to move on both Kabul and Kandahar, given it sits about 93 miles south of Kabul on a major highway connecting the two, with the latter city being Afghanistan's second largest.

I'm not a Biden fan but technically he is right. USA can't keep doing Afghanistan's job for them. This will never stop. These frickers need to fight for their country. But being that they are cowards or outright refuse to fight you get these results.

Hopefully the military left GPS in every single vehicle and at some point in the near future showers every single one of them with a drone rocket

I agree that we can't stay there and fight their wars for them.

But it's pretty damn stupid to leave millions of dollars worth of advanced war equipment for the Taliban to take over.

So to call this a "victory" is a bit of a stretch.

More like a sustained fart that gave some relief but left your pants stained

Good. About the only thing Biden has done right so far is getting out of that hellscape. At some point, the afghans have to be responsible for their own future.

But where the hell did the article get this from? The administration has specifically and emphatically stated that there would be no mission accomplished moment. Whoever that quote is from is just making up shite out of thin air.

The Taliban are 1000 clicks away from the nearest place we can park an aircraft carrier. We are not going to be able to just helicopter people out of the Embassy especially with the rate the Taliban are advancing. I would be shocked if they don't take Kabul by Saturday afternoon.

The Taliban for the most part are not foreigners I am told. They are Afghanis.

The people act like they want them---they don't fight with them.

We should get out of there today and then start getting out of all of the ME.

Agree 100%, yet somehow you were downvoted for something that everyone and their dogs wanted: For the US to GTFO out of there.

I realize the terrain aids the taliban, but its crazy to think they cant keep a grip on this a little more in a country smaller than texas.

There is roughly 1 Afghan solider for every 190 persons.

I guess they are really the new france with their cowardice

I lot of that stuff was left for the 300k strong Afghan army we sent all those years training.

But, I do think leaving was the correct move but the mistake every western world country makes when they tangle with the middle east is that these people will fight for their country when it actually very tribal. The middle east should not have borders defined by outsiders.
