It's already on us. Maybe not you, or maybe not the Marines in Kabul, but on a lot of us.
Our shitty leadership reflects our apathetic, comfortable population.

I have a very close friend that is active military stationed overseas. An officer.
He was very, very Pro-Biden. Very. Hated Trump.
I did not discuss politics today but he is extremely upset and called today the worst day of his military career so far and can't understand the decisions that have been made.

Biden officials defended the move during a classified briefing on Capitol Hill earlier this week, which turned contentious.
Biden team contended this was the best way to keep Americans & Afghans safe & prevent a shooting war between Taliban fighters and US troops

Exactly. People on this forum are saying "the people are never going to forget this!"
No, a good part of the country doesn't even know what's going on, nor do they care.
You can't forget something you never knew or cared about.

Just fold the country already. The US is done

You should point out to your very close friend the error of his ways.
It's what friends do.

I don't know about you guys but here is my list of unforgivable actions by this admin.
1. Evacuating Civilians Last.
2. Lack of Communication to Allies.
3. Evacuate Bagram Airbase / Removing Air Support to Afghan Military
4. Not processing SIVs quickly when we knew we were leaving the country.
5. Not allowing the Military to be Aggressive early on.
6. Allowing Foreign Fighters from the South to move into Kabul.

With all due respect to your friend, he can kindly go eat a bag of dicks. There was a reason they REFUSED to let Biden talk about foreign policy in the debates. He has a documented history of being a terrible person in D.C. and people CHOSE to ignore almost 50 years of proof because they had a school girl type hate for Trump. Never mind he was one of the better leaders this country has ever had. He actually made it a point to put America first and did it for free.
He has no one to thank but himself.

Huge explosion in Kabul just now, as I was interviewing @SerajMahbouba from Kabul live on @ABCNewsLive. Mahbouba told me it was the biggest she’d heard, and that she was truly frightened for her life.

Not gonna do that for now. He is Navy and has been in Afghanistan and the middle east so he may know some of these guys. I did not ask.
But we will have that conversation a year or so from now.
I'm heading out that way to visit he and his family in a few months, may have that convo then.

Just In - The Islamic State (ISIS) has claimed one of the two suicide bombings, and they named the attacker as "Abdul Rahman al Loghari".

I'd drop that freak in Kabul and leave it there.

Taken from the poli board.
I hope this is bs but nothing surprises me anymore.
We gave the Taliban names of who to let through.
