Look I do not want any innocent people to die…. But how many Americans and such are at that Palace???? I agree with trying to get all Americans out of there… but the longer we wait to SEND a message the Taliban has us by the balls….. FACT

The US is paralyzed and it is shaping up exactly how we all saw it Sunday
The Taliban will probably let US citizens get to the airport if they brave the effort, although I'm going to guess that gets dicier as the month goes on and especially for anyone outside of Kabul. And as a country we'll be left thanking them for doing it while our Afghan assets get the "oh no, not him, he stays" and we go "Thank you, still a good deal let's go" while the people we pledged to protect get dragged away.
And that scenario - where the US is basically eating shite on the world stage on the way out - is the absolute BEST CASE

The taliban already has us by the balls you idiot. Bombing the palace does literally nothing to show them we are serious unless it’s followed by a massive ground force to really go in and kick the shite out of them.

US strategy 100% depends on the "word" of the Taliban at this point.
Sure, we could go into Kabul and get lots of people out, kill lots of Taliban and get servicemen and US citizens killed in the process. A couple of weeks of urban warfare the likes of which we haven't seen in years.
But the administration is electing to cross their fingers and hope for the best.
And the sad part is, the administration is likely making the right choice. It's the right choice out of two ultra-shitty choices the administration left us with. Of course, all it takes is a few crazies or errant decisions and suddenly things are going to go very, very wrong.

At least Boris Johnson, reached out to the G7 (as soon as Kabul fell) to schedule an emergency meeting. We didn't hear from President Biden for what 3 days? THEN he didn't call ANY world leaders until 5 days later?
Also, unconfirmed? reports are saying the UK is trying to go door-to-door to get their citizens to the airport. While our military is mad at the UK troops because it may ruin our "plan" with Taliban.

What's even worse... Where the hell is Kamala? Biden not reaching out is bad but skipping the VP level is even worse. We rely on Cabinet members to make calls to world leaders?

You cannot "send a message" to someone when a huge, emergency, multi-national rescue mission 100% hinges on their cooperation. The only reason we haven't seen this turn into a slaughter is because the Taliban are allowing us to do what we are doing. The only reason we have the airport is because the Taliban are allowing us to keep it. The only reason people are still getting to the airport is because the Taliban are allowing them to get there.
We have zero leverage, and our only plan is "trust the terrorists". Well, we have a little leverage, and that is the fact that someone, somewhere had enough sense to freeze billions of dollars in Afghani assets. That is our only leverage.
The plan is "Trust the terrorists and hope they keep their word". If you go on the offensive now, you WILL see dead Americans. Period. This is a great example of "being stuck between a rock and a hard place".
