Someone needs to ask Biden how many of those 5000 Isis and al-Queada prisoners will be marching into our southern borders so they can set up terrorist cells. Its a fricking certainty they are already getting their ducks in a row so they can do exactly that.

How many females do you count in that video?

All of you hyping on the gender of folks. It was mostly young (fighting age), single men who were helping us. I am not saying the vetting is splendid but there is a reason for the demographics we are seeing.

Anyone notice local news media who usually run national stories are dead fricking silent on this issue?

i tried to a couple dozen pages back and was told i was a told i’m a hack and it’s apart of my schtick.

i noticed too. yes, the national media is covering extensively, but usually these type of impactful stories get more than 1-2 minute short segments glossing over the details.

Yes. But this country doesn't deserve leadership.

Am I missing the heavy-hitter Repubs like Cruz and Paul making the most of this opportunity to smash Biden over the head with this brick?

I would have expected some sound bites by now.

Smart to let the MSM carve up Biden. No need to waste that capital.

Just when I thought Biden couldn't frick up his optics anymore, the dumbass goes right back to Camp David.

Presidents use Camp David to conduct high-level diplomacy all the time. It's much easier to quickly and discreetly bring in leaders from the EU, Middle East, etc. there than it is the White House.

I absolutely have no idea what's going down at Camp David right now, but to act like a President going to Camp David equals the President taking a vacation is just wrong.

This. Why shred Sleepy Joe when the press are doing it for you right now?

Biden's biggest mistake was making decisions that left a real possibility many journalists are going to die.

Are you seriously defending Biden on this? The WH has stated he is returning to his vacation! Yes camp david is a place where high level meetings can happen. That is absolutely NOT what is going on now.

It's not about Camp David. It's about being radio silent for three days while Afghanistan collapsed.

It's about finally, and begrudgingly, coming back to DC for a short statement, yet not actually giving any hope or direction to the American people or those currently under fire in Kabul.

It's about turning right around and going back to Camp David, having done absolutely nothing to address the issue.

The complete and utter lack of leadership from the Biden administration right now is disgusting.

He is doing the polar opposite of everything I was taught about being a leader.

I’m just really glad that Biden said we would “continue to speak on women’s rights”. I’m sure the Taliban have a willing ear for those discussions.

Come on, neither one of use knows what's going on at Camp David right now

Maybe Biden is talking to EU leaders, maybe he's napping. Did the WH actually say he was returning to his vacation?? I didn't see that - got a link?

Camp David is a Presidential retreat. Biden is a tool, not a Hollywood, Martha's Vineyard, or a Hawaii beautiful person. Biden has no where else to go, except China or the Ukraine.

Does it bother you in the least that the POTUS didn't give one ray of hope or a firm plan of action to remove Americans from that country?

I don't know how accurate that characterization is, specifically, but I'm definitely very upset that this is unfolding so poorly.

For some reason you appear much more worried about hypocrisy rather than the serious impact this shitshow is having on people very close to you.

That's just not true. Just calling it like I see it. A lot of folks are borderline ecstatic (not pointing fingers at anyone here) that their enemy tribe is being publicly humiliated but to me, this isn't just on Biden. This is on Biden, Trump, Obama, Bush, and every single member of their respective administrations that gleefully spent $2 trillion dollars under the guise of "winning" and billions of those dollars which were used to "build the Afghan government/military" were worth it. Every single one of them are culpable. This is a systemic failure and if you're just blaming Biden, you haven't thought about it enough (or you're just a partisan hack).

Transgender USAF veteran trapped in Taliban takeover of Kabul

quote:

KABUL, Afghanistan – As the government of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani collapsed and he has now fled the country, chaos has descended on the Afghan capital city. Late reports Sunday indicated Afghan security forces had abandoned their posts which were quickly taken over by the Taliban insurgents.

Among the Americans now trapped in the suburban areas of Kabul under Taliban control is Josie Thomas, 32, a Transgender government contractor for the U.S. State Department and former U.S. Air Force Sergeant. Thomas along with several others are trapped at the diplomatic support facility known as Camp Alvarado located on the outskirts of the capital city’s airport.

Thomas, in a series of text messages provided to the Blade on background by a colleague of hers, relayed that she and others were aware of the immediate presence of the Taliban insurgents, which was communicated at the time Afghan security forces had abandoned their posts. The texts also expressed frustration at the lack of communication regarding the lack of a presence of U.S. military forces to assist.

Are we gonna leave these at the Qatari Air base? I see a lot of upstanding young citizens I wouldn't want to see on U.S. soil.

I agree. Everyone since Bush is to blame for Afghanistan.

Yet only one President is to blame for completely and utterly fricking up the withdrawal.

And his response was to blame everyone else.
