I can't think of a vote on Congressional legislation in the past 50 years where I would more align with the Democrat side of the aisle than with the Republicans.
Hence, in any election for Senator or House Representative, when the clear choice is between a Democrat and a Republican candidate (which it virtually always will be), I can't imagine any scenario where I would ever consider the Democrat over the Republican.
Of course I'm not a brain dead overly emotional imbecile either. Yes, like it or not, Congress is basically "team sports." Anyone who can't clearly see that, is surely some combination of such.

You can read about my experience in John 14.
Basically you are given understanding by what you would call the holy ghost/spirit.
You will first learn that the father is in you and understand the father/son relationship. That which is spirit is spirit and that which is flesh is flesh. Or that consciousness is separate from the universe itself and that there is a greater and lesser - you are the lesser. A limitation which is required for the experience. If you don't want biblical language.
You will also be shown that you must keep the commandments/way because you can't be a thief and live in a society without theft. You can't be someone who kills/murders and live in a society without it. Your very presence makes it impossible, which is why you were removed to begin with.
And you see the "path and way" are a real thing that come from following the commandments. You see movies about time travel and they show how a single decision changes the future? Well you are constantly making those decision and they still affect the future. If today you go out and rob a bank, your path is going to take a turn for the worse. If you instead go out and help your neighbor, it's going to be a different path and a different future, likely better. So by keeping the commandments, you follow the way and the path and that leads to more, eventually what you would consider a heavenly society.
Basically, as far Jesus goes - embrace his life,his example and follow what he says and keep the commandments. Paul is a false prophet who subverts what Jesus taught into being about a blood sacrifice so that people can be "saved" even without following the commandments.
I can tell you the father is in Jesus because I can see it and recognize it.
There are also 2 deaths. The death of flesh which we will all experience, and the death of the soul which you would say Jesus did not experience.

just think if the bible had not been translated into english you protestants would have never found all that gobblitygook in the bible how fortunate we are that you silly idiots showed up 400 years ago to tell us we had been doing wrong for the first 1600 years.
here's the good news boy, the protestant faith in the only country that it's ever mattered, the united states, is dying. thanks to it's embrace of homosexuality and the ordination of women. talafreako is exhibit A. the protestant reformation will be dead in a hundred years and we'll be picking a new pope.

I'm not a Christian, I don't worship the death of truth, the way and the light.
Nor would I ever support a religion that's based on breaking a commandment.
