Earlier TD post.

Maybe in our lifetime. But if the left succeeds in dividing us even more. And the right becomes a 60-40 minority, the guns are the first thing they go after.

- My uncle thinks he’s going to sit on his roof and pick off some stupid antifa casually walking toward his house.
- Others think they will just bar the door and sit in their closet and blast any man that comes in the house that far.
- some locales and neighborhoods will organize. But only some.
- the soy antifa s you see on tv are, in fact, confused about a mans role in life and won’t make good soldiers. But, they aren’t the ones who are coming. There are paramilitary, trained men.....with guns.....

I assume the majority of all gun owners think that just by having a gun, they are safe.

But here are some opinions (not yet facts that I beleive to be true)

Organization
-conservatives cant even organize and vote lock step like dems do. Self independence can be an issue.
-not every neighborhood will have a
Military guy to train a group of gun owners.
-“I have my gun and food and first aid, I’m safe”. No you’re not.
-gun-takers won’t send one man for the job. There would be a group of heavily armed men, going to your door. You’re locale did not organize before this. You are out-manned. You lose.

Even if there are 75 million gun owners with 225 million guns but not organized; and there are 75 million angry lefties with only 75 million guns that will follow someone’s instruction with say, some soros pay, the right is fricked if not organized.

20 prog men showing up at each of the doors of 20 individual conservative men, will win. .

First this won't happen in my lifetime; I'm 59.

Second, IMO the vast majority of the military WON'T side with the Government on this; they'll side with us, the 2nd amendment folks....so will the police. Why? Bc they know they're next on the list.

Nobody wants the casualty numbers that would result from a door-to-door confiscation in this country.

If the government wants a civil war, this is how you get a civil war. At least, a bloody one. They may want a civil war, but not a shooting one because they know they would lose.

I believe if the left gained power (both houses of Congress and the Presidency), they would just legislate the shite out of gun ownership to make it as difficult and expensive as possible. They could possibly have a better chance with the Supreme Court going this route versus an outright ban, which wouldn't pass Constitutional muster.

If they were serious about doing this they would start with the ammo. Look at what the EPA hunted at doing during the Obama administration. Dems know that there is no way to actually confiscate all the guns that are owned by American citizens. However they can pass all sorts of laws regulating ammunition manufacturing and purchasing. This is also why the reloading industry skyrocketed during the Obama administration.

Correct. Confiscation will never happen, but it will be more difficult with more permits being required, ammunition hard to buy or very expensive, etc.

They would fund Antifa as an agency to go door to door rounding up weapons.

They will try and crack down on manufacturers and ammo suppliers, gun stores (online and B&M) before they start going after individual owners. Making it hard/impossible to buy new guns eliminates future generations or gun owners therefor less people will grow up with them. The door to door removal will never happen. Too many LEOs will decline due to risk and most will just report stollen or lost.

You will see conservative States becoming “sanctuary states” for gun ownership and not enforcing buy backs etc.

When they say "We're not coming for your guns", they are largely correct. They will never go door to door looking for your guns because it's not politically expedient and they're a bunch of cowards.

They will, however, go the route of CA. They will ban everything then if you get caught with a gun, you'll go to jail for the rest of your life.

A door to door gun confiscation will never happen in this country. That would require police and military help and 95% of those people would turn on the government before they turned on citizens. The way gun confiscation will happen is slowly installing more and more regulations until it's nearly impossible to get a gun.

It would take a new ammendment to repeal the 2nd. Look up the process involved and you will see it's just not going to happen.

Gun confiscation will happen without a shot being fired. Looks for future generations to give them up like NZ and Aus have already done. They are brainwashing our young to think guns are bad.

First, I support the Second Amendment and believe that Americans have (and should have) the right to own anything up to (and including) fully automatic weaponry.

With that being said, the Founders anticipated that prevailing views in this country might well change, and they provided a rather difficult-to-achieve amendment process.

Should a repeal of the Second Amendment make its way through that process, it is the obligation of EVERY American to accept the will of the super-majority. Anyone who is unwilling to do so has no place in a representative republic, and would fully deserve anything that happened to them.

Some Mensa member will now make a comment like “liberal“ or the like. No, it is Constitutionalist

Of course, I also support the right to secession and believe that any one state (or more) that could not accept such a change should have every right to withdraw from the Union
