Sweden and Findland joined because they've allowed their militaries to atrophy

Really? Sweden in particular has been pretty well known as a little military powerhouse.

Hmmm. Quite a standard that a country should be limited to it's own border. Really makes ya think.

Eh, it is a blow to the U.S.

We really need to pause our involvement in the rest of the world and re-evaluate what is important to the U.S.

They really don't like each other that much. It would only matter in land warfare anyway, and I don't see China sending infantry to Ukraine. In Naval warfare, we'd absolutely wreck them (combined) in the Pacific. All Russia has is a few subs at Kamchatka and China lacks the blue water capability to push past the First Island Chain if there's any resistance. Japan alone would make quick work of the Russian Fleet....and it wouldn't be the first time.

They spend 1.35% of GDP on defense and have a 6,850 man army.

We haven't left our borders. Neither has Sweden or Finland. This is not a game of RISK. The unified nations of Western Europe don't want war with anyone. That is the very basis for NATO.

There it is again. Just for the record.

Again, we were told these accusations aren’t made.

Your first sentence is simply not reality.

Regarding your last two, is that why NATO bombed/invaded Yugoslavia? Libya? Afghanistan? Because they don’t want war?

You judge people by what they do

We pursued an aggressive policy of an expansion, that pushed NATO to Russias border, and in this period, fought a war on behalf of some nasty people, the KLA, in order to hobble one of Russias historic allies, we overthrew the government in Kiev, in the name of the cause, sparking a civil war, we then invested heavily in building up the Ukrainian Army, sabotaging any effort to make a permanent settlement there, and now we have the largest conventional war in Europe since the 1940s.

We don’t want peace, we clearly want war.

This as been a boasted threat since 1945. The Mongols and China invaded russia once and ran them for 200 years. Neither country has forgot that.

And the Russians have taken a chunk of China (Outer Manchuria) and Japan (Sakhalin Island). There's no love lost between any of them.

You will see Russia and China increase cooperation on almost every geopolitical front now and in the future because it is in both their interests to do so in reaction to the action of a common threat. You’re already seeing it. It is Coase Theorem in its base form.

I have not made an accusation, in fact I noted people that are big mad about Sweden joining NATO are definitely not Putin fans...they dislike it for other more circumspect, intellectual reasons. I thought you had links to that. I clearly misread.
