Is NATO just the largest money laundering scheme in the world for the political elite disguised as a treaty to act like these countries will protect each other and put up their fair share for protection? Just curious
NATO says it promotes freedom and security for its members and their citizens but allowing 3rd world foreigners to invade your country is counterproductive, correct?

china has to be watching Russia weaken itself, and with minorities in the east taking the brunt of the drafts for the war in ukraine watch for china to ferment unrest. Russia's eastern populace is largely asian

But Finland mainly and Sweden joining NATO is the worse thing to come of the Ukrainian war by far. Its a worse case scenario for Putin and I promise you his Generals are not pleased. Especially the Navy. If you look to the north the greatest military navel base is now exposed, Murmansk. Imagine suddenly Norfolk or Pearl or San Diego now being only 100 miles away from a new Warsaw pact nation. One 800 mile long hwy feeds Murmansk. Russia will shift men and material to this area draining from elsewhere. Imagine the US having 800 new miles to defend against Warsaw pact nations.

Sweden and Findland joined because they've allowed their militaries to atrophy. Rather than do the work of building their militaries up to where they should be, they're taking the easy road and farming out their defense to the US.
