The Supreme Court on Thursday cleared the way for election officials in Pennsylvania to count mail-in ballots whose envelopes are missing a handwritten date, as required by state law.

The three wise men? Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch
Everyone else thought this was fine.

Barrett is single handedly one of the most useless SC justices out there. She's a waste of space and a horrible pick by Trump.
Kavanaugh isn't much better.
I guess the Republicans better start cheating like the left.

Wow. They're complicit in election crimes.

So...apparently...there was standing

It explains a lot that the Right would be "starting" at this point in time.

By any means necessary
People can’t even fill the form out. If you make obvious mistakes, your ballot shouldn’t count.
You aren’t smart enough to decide elections. Not even sorry

Republicans won't save us. They are Democrat lite.

These justices are shameful, corrupt, scumbags. They would fit right in with a communist regime. Until, they tick-off the wrong tyrant and off to the gulag!
I wonder if they ever had decent ethics and a spine.

Is there a comprehensive list of laws we can all ignore?
Posted on 6/10/22 at 1:10 pm to Jjdoc
So the supreme court outright acknowledges that you can ignore state laws when it comes to elections
Nice

START from the premise that each of these ballots was PHYSICALLY-RECEIVED by the election registrar BEFORE the date of the election. As such, there is ZERO chance that the ballots are fraudulently-submitted after the fact to change the election result.
THEN assume that the law required the voter to draw a smiley face on the envelope, alongside the signature. A handful of voters drew a frowny face.
ANSWER the question, how would counting the frowny face ballots foster election fraud?
NOW assume that the law required the voter to use a yellow highlighter to emphasize their signatures, and a few voters instead used a green highlighter.
ANSWER the question, how would counting the green-marked ballots foster election fraud?
As to ballots received on a timely basis, the lack of a date, a smiley face or yellow highlighter would all be IMMATERIAL failures. Insisting upon the date, the smiley face or the yellow highlighting is a matter of "form over substance."
It is really that simple.
If we were discussing ballots received AFTER the deadline, we would be having an entirely different discussion.
BTW, I don't really expect any substantive responses. The responses will consist of insults and sheeplike insistence upon strict compliance with immaterial requirements. No one will be able to provide a logical reason for requiring this dating of timely ballots.

If the election is held on the 9th, and the ballot is received BEFORE the 9th, what DIFFERENCE does it make whether the ballot was signed on the 1st or the 2nd?
