There was a Fox headline this week regarding another TRO that the USSC had done the same with and the header read "Courts rein in Musk" or something similar.
Reading the article it was quite apparent the USSC was letting it play out in the lower court and basically telling the judge to come to his senses.

There is actually a removal clause for his position. I think he has to removed for cause for it to be legal. I think there were a couple of other reasons he could be fired as well.
