Sara Eisen is interviewing the OPENAI CFO and mentioned how Data Center stocks are getting slaughtered since the Blue Wave.

CFO says "We want to meet with communities to address their concerns over water usage, power usage, noise pollution etc.".
Sara Eisen replied "Why didn't you want to discuss these issues with communities before the Blue Wave?".
CFO mumbled and stumbled for a response,

Funny how these disgusting corporations don't give a shite until it hits them in the wallet.
Until the Blue Wave it was "F these communities", but now that Democrats regained control suddenly they care.

Communities should tell them to F off, or pay the citizens and community an absolute fortune.

They should be doing a better job of making the local people partners.

They are heavily funded by taxpayers in billions of dollars worth of taxabatements over a period of 2 decades. If the data centers decide it's not profitable enough and leave before their time is up...the taxpayer is on the hook. Why are they having city council members sign NDA's before approval and also not being held accountable for city rules as to building laws? It's all about the money between city govt and data centers and those living close by are having health problems because of the data centers. No one holds them accountable for pollution or using more electricity or water than they claimed would be needed.

It's funny how once again Elon Musk already saw this coming and is working on the solution with his Compute in Space idea.

Buy the dip kids.

With the foreseen problems especially in Texas why not just move the plans for construction of the data centers to more republican friendly states.

There are plenty of wide open spaces in the US where these things wont impact anyone. Why not just put them there?

Capital is fleeing the space but honestly it was over saturated anyway. The developers thought it was a free for all and were grasping to get this piece. Money's already being reallocated to other infra funds.

I just had a briefing on AI and how it’s being effectively used by hackers.

Scary shite.

The free open source Chinese models are a favorite and the most dangerous but firms are using them because of cost.

I wonder why; China got exactly what it wanted.

The combined annual capital expenditure (CapEx) for just four tech giants—Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, and Alphabet—was on track to hit a staggering $750 billion, surpassing the annual GDP of Ireland or Belgium.

China will get it's slowdown that it desperately needs.

And, If they can get Democrats to prosecute Musk (and SpaceX of course), they will get the slowdown they need to land a China-naut on the moon first. They want to stake that claim on the South Pole where there is a limited amount for ice deposits, needed to sustain life, make fuel, etc.

Only with the Democrats help, can China win.

Just off the top of my head:

Latency
Power source
Cooling
Staffing and Infrastructure.
