I have a great idea. Let's find some "scientists" and "doctors" who want money, and get them to write some reports for us. We can do some "studies" and make up a grandiose story about how exactly what we think is best for everyone is the truth.
Isn't this shite getting old?

I don't think it's much of a guise. People want individual liberties on this and you don't want them to have it.

I'm sorry, is POT not able to stand on it's on?

BTW, lower academic scores may correlate with the trashy background these kids come from. I'd postulate that these subjects were relatively lower on the socio-economic scale.
Nope. Brain scans back it up.

Addiction is based upon a psychological dysfunction in the brain. It is NOT based upon any single particular substances or past time (gambling, porn, etc.). The traits just need a trigger whether its alcohol, coke, brown, naked people or MJ.
Quoting an abuse website with an obvious self-sustaining agenda is fricking comical as well.
If you had known sources of Psychiatric medicine (as I do), you see through that horseshite.
BUT, again, what responsible expectant mother smokes weed or consumes edibles with THC?
Answer: NONE!!!!!
Your angle is fricking flawed, Mr. Old Fogey.

Do you even know where you went wrong on the % calculation?
Hint: multiply 4.2 × 69.2%

Wanna know something funny?
I 100% defend Sessions on this. He is doing exactly the right thing.
Force the idiot congress to actually ACT on what they are all suddenly claiming to care about.
This, because as long as it is a law on the books,it can be enforced,or not.. and can be used and abused preferentially.
It's going to be legalized eventually,I am sure. We need to go about it wisely though.
Like legal to grow at home for personal use first. Can only buy seeds from a licensed dealer. No dealing of the actual product.?
I don't know.

I highly doubt anyone has referred to PubMed so far throughout all these pages. Those with the access and understanding can look up the studies from mid to ate 90's onward.
Infants, and until adolescence really, have a higher concentration of white matter in their brains. Cannabinoid receptors are much more densely clustered in white matter vs grey matter.
As stated before in other pot threads, every vertebrate species checked so far has cannabinoid receptors. Also, attempts to chemically block these receptors (block them and no high results) proves very bad and even fatal.
Draw your own conclusions from: receptors are necessary for intelligent life; the younger the brain the more sensitivity that is built into humans.
That's just for the brain alone. All tissues and organs contain type 1 or type 2 receptors for cannabinoids.
Media doing it's thing though: sowing fear and discord to both sides of the aisle. Money to be made causing strife and then providing the solutions.

That's a bizarrely weird way to view someone promoting individual freedom.
Under the guise of. Many people could argue that point of view on anything illegal.
Just because you feel entitled to what ever you want does not mean that you are. Our system has never been nor shall it ever be one without limitations and restrictions no matter how many anarchists, libertarians, believe it should be that way.

And people want liberty on relationships with kids. Should we accept that too? I mean the LBGQT hero Harry Hay was a huge advocate for it.

If you want to get weed totally legalized, you have to stop claiming that it is totally safe.
You can't deny any science that is negative to your cause.
Responsible discussion is required, including the harmful effects.
You can't just put it on the market, with everyone believing that it is 100% safe.Any company that did that, would find themselves in huge lawsuits pretty fast. You would have to give all of the negatives up front.
I think the fact that you have to be 21 to purchase marijuana legally (where it's legal for recreational use) is indicative of the extra responsibility necessary for it's purchase, just like you have to be 21 to purchase alcohol.
And I don't think the narrative has ever been it's 100% safe without any side effects. The argument has been that the harmful medical effects and residual side effects while intoxicated are not as bad as alcohol, which is a true statement. Anyone can abuse anything and it be harmful. Heart disease is the #1 cause of death in this country, yet we love us some fast food. Alcohol related illnesses accounted for over 30k deaths last year, a record high. And this doesn't include drunk driving accidents resulting in death. If that is included, that numbers escalates to about 90k deaths. Marijuana related deaths don't even come close to those numbers.
