I honestly can't believe this joke of a thread has survived this long.

Woo hoo. MJ isn't health food.

Basically, this thread could have been written in the leadup to 1919 or the follow on to 1933.

I half expect the OP to come out as looking basically like this.

exactly. i bowed out hours ago. Sisyphean misery.

You'll note, he's dutifully avoided my points regarding 1919 and 1933. He KNOWS he looks like those retards and that it's indefensible on that front.

But, apparently, he's basically Toddy........just on his own pet issue.

He has also avoided me calling him out on claiming hundreds of people die from marijuana overdoses yearly. How does he even expect anyone to take him serious after making such a ridiculous claim??

You have no credibility or respect from anyone save the other imbeciles of your ilk on this board.
Have yourself sterilized before you pollute the world with your issue.

Wanna know something funny?

I 100% defend Sessions on this. He is doing exactly the right thing.

Force the idiot congress to actually ACT on what they are all suddenly claiming to care about.

But, that's an entirely different discussion from "muh pot should be illegal and it's scarrrry!"

From 2009 to 2016, marijuana use among pregnant women increased from 4.2 percent to 7.1 percent in Kaiser Permanente’s Northern California healthcare system.

That's remarkable. Only 2.9 percent increase in 7 years, with such a readily available supply and lax medical card enforcement.

Wow!Did you even take 2nd grade math?

Sessions is legally in his right to do as AG. The previous AG was as well.

I support whatever course of action adds to liberty and discourages the WoD, therefore I am against Sessions' actions.

Geez, man. 12 pages of discussion on a pretty wide range of MJ topics, and basic subtraction is what most catches your attention?

Are the other concepts too difficult, or do you just take the Captain Obvious label to extremes? Were you trying to insult me? Be ironic?

1. Pregnant women aren't supposed to do drugs of any kind including caffine and advil.

Yet the pot industry and news sites that are "legit" (like daily beast) promote it as a cure.

2. You have yet to link a study showing the necessary dose of THC/CBD to inhibit or change fetal development especially as it relates to Learning disabilities.

And please keep on with the "MJ has no impact on brains not fully developed"

quote:

Recent studies have found that people who used marijuana when they were young were more likely to develop a marijuana disorder when they get older — and were also more likely to develop other substance use disorders, NIDA reported.

And this study shows it's addictive

quote:

Recent data suggest that 30 percent of those who use marijuana may have some degree of marijuana use disorder.18 People who begin using marijuana before the age of 18 are four to seven times more likely to develop a marijuana use disorder than adults.19

quote:

Teens who smoke marijuana see their IQs drop as adults, and deficits persist even after quitting, according to a new study.

On fetus

quote:

Often pregnant women presume that cannabis has no consequences for developing infants. But preliminary research suggests otherwise:

2 issues in the first part of this report.

1- They think it's safe. Why? Because it's been promoted that way.

2- research (at the time of the article) was already showing it does.

quote:

“There is an increased perception of the safety of cannabis use, even in pregnancy, without data to say it’s actually safe,” said Dr. Torri Metz

quote:

Some of the most extensive data come from two sets of researchers, in Pittsburgh and in Ottawa, who have long studied children exposed to THC in the womb.

In Pittsburgh, 6-year-olds born to mothers who had smoked one joint or more daily in the first trimester showed a decreased ability to understand concepts in listening and reading. At age 10, children exposed to THC in utero were more impulsive than other children and less able to focus their attention.

Most troubling, children of mothers who used marijuana heavily in the first trimester had lower scores in reading, math and spelling at age 14 than their peers.

quote:

“Prenatal exposure can affect the adolescent pretty significantly,” said Dr. Lauren M. Jansson, the director of pediatrics at the Center for Addiction and Pregnancy at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Liberty is ABSOLUTELY not served by a govt that no longer uses laws to dictate what is and isn't OK......but rather.....simply uses the opinions of those in power.

Sure. You may like the opinion of any given one of them, but that most certainly is NOT serving liberty.
