Nah, I think Trump just recognized and tapped into the growing GOP voter base sentiments that saw ever decreasing fundamental differences between the establishment GOP and the Democrats.
Aside from taxes, it was getting more difficult to distinguish where the fundamental differences between the two parties were exactly.
Now I do agree with a previous poster who commented about Trump/MAGA’s seeming lack of strong interest in building bridges with those who may otherwise agree on most issues.
The perceived “You’re either ALL in or frick you, you’re against us.” is a ballsy strategy and one I think has been a bit risky because it indicates a notion that all the support that will be needed is already in place.
We’ll all be finding out in less than a year I guess.

Yea, it was trump that laid down the rules at abc saying they couldn’t say “we” when referring to Americans and it was trump that banned them from wearing American flag pins. Our presidents are chosen for us. The earliest evidence we have of this is that the Trilateral Commission had several folks in the early 70s that actively recruited Jimmy Carter, who came out of nowhere, to be President. Several of these people ended up in his administration. All former and current presidents run in the same circles. We do not have a republic or a democracy. We have a hand picked oligarchy; I’m not sure if you call it the Illuminati or what, but there is definitely a lot of string pulling.

I recall him meeting Congressional leaders several times at the White House. They did not want to work with him, if that wasn't obvious.
