last time i checked you cant just go hang out for hours in a place of business and not order anything
buy something or GTFO because its a placer of business, not your house or hang out

They finda get paid. A small sum, but nevertheless.
Including Facebook, right?
By the way the white guy in the video was meeting them there to buy them coffee and discuss real estate. They were released because there was insufficient evidence to press charges.

Wasn't it Starbucks that refused to let a policeman use the men's room because he made no purchase? Something about store policy...

No. Cops come over to my Starbucks all the time and use the bathroom.

So someone who sits at a coffee shop drinking coffee and using wifi is now a snowflake?
That's what I call the ones that are in Starbucks every single day for 3 to 4 hours by themselves. They treat it like it's their personal workspace. 2 or 3 of us used to meet up for a legit cup of coffee and there was no place to sit because there are 2 or 3 fricks at their own table for 4 reading a book on an ipad or playing around on the internet with no coffee in sight. So yes.

If the blacks were waiting on the white RE rep, they should have bought something or be arrested.

If the Blacks were Whites they wouldn’t have to buy anything or be arrested

Getting thrown out of Starbucks for being a minority is akin to being thrown out of an NRA convention for owning a rifle.
It just makes no sense.
If someone says, it is our policy that you buy something before we let you use the restroom, you buy a $2 small coffee and then go piss. They just don’t want homeless people taking their morning shits in the bathroom.
Why does it matter if they’re waiting on a friend? Do you have to synchronize your coffee buying? He was clearly minutes away. Your coffee will still be hot.
And who taunts a business to call the cops over a coffee?
It’s just ridiculous. Act like an a-hole and you get treated like one. I’ve seen many a white fellow escorted out of bars by cops for the same dumbass behavior.
Fake. News.

5. A quad is $3, not $4.
I drank 50 cent coffee when I was a teen. Then I got a job and moved up.
However you want to justify it Hoss.
Wanna know the best cup of coffee I've had this year?
The one brewed in the 1950's vintage perculator we inherented from my wife's aunt.
It was brewed on the stove of our Airstream as I watched the sunrise over Capital Reef National Park.
I'd rather take the dollars I could send on "fancy" coffee and put them towards things and experiences that will last me more than 20 mins.
300 cups of $3 coffee is $900 a year (before taxes and tips). Where could you go for $900? What could you see and experience? If coffee is that for you, awesome. I'll make other choices.

Black people commit the majority of violent crime in this country. Until that is corrected stuff like this will continue to happen. Sorry but until the crime statistics come down can you really fault them for this? That’s what drives the majority of these cop/minority situations. They see so much bs that it’s hard to ignore it

Is this why I saw multiple blacks ina coffee shops all drinking water the other day? I had never seen that before in this particular store. They all had this condescending look on their faces. Maybe this is why.

As usual - neither side handled this well.
Store could’ve easily said “oh, cool- your friends coming... settle in for a minute, no problem”
Once the low wage, low training barista flubbed that it would’ve been incredibly easy to say “oh, yea, I get it- here I’ll buy a coffee while I wait since I’m ordering one any minute now anyway”
These things tend not to spiral if someone in either side is reasonable. 90% of the time it’s no problem if I sit for a minute or use the restroom before ordering but on the off times when the barista/bartender/cashier cant allow that I can normally remedy the situation without police

You think the barista was making a public safety decision here?

Loitering in restaurants has been a no no for a very long time.

Hospitality in customer service isn’t some crazy expectation. Starbucks would much rather a few guys use the restroom without ordering coffee than have this in the news.
If this location is overrun by homeless folks setting up shop than so be it - you get a bit stricter but generally speaking “oh yea, no worries- can I get you anything while you wait” goes over much better than “gtfo or I’m calling the cops”

$900?? I spend over 3K a year at SB between daily coffee, oatmeal and gift cards for my son and his wife.
Lemme splain why it's justified. The difference in taste between what you make in your grandma's machine and SB arabica through an industrial espresso machine to me is like the difference between beer and motor oil to you.
I can't tell expensive wine from cheap wine. So it would be stupid for me to buy expensive wine. But I can tell arabica espresso from SB and arabica espresso from Joe Muggs (Book A Million shop).

I can't go anywhere and I can't experience anything. 20 years ago the wife said she can't enjoy traveling because she worries about the dogs. So, we don't travel.
But I'm not advising you to switch to SB. If you can't tell the difference between what you brew and espresso then it would be stupid for you to pay more money for SB.

So wasting money and hanging at Starbucks is "moving up"? LOL
