We sure it wasn’t 10m and not 10’?

I mean I can do a triple tap (2 center mass & 1 between the running lights) before you can blink at 10m but I am a lot better shot than 99% of the country.

It’s hard for me to believe not even wounding the potential shooter.

Was it confirmed by casings, that the shooter returned fire before retreating?

Ryan Routh had hung ballistic armor panels on the chain link fence around his position. The SS’s shots may have struck one of the panels while firing through the fence. With a pistol and a quick reaction, missed shots are not particularly unlikely. Plus we don’t know if Routh had started running before the SS agent took the shots. Just thinking with my experience shooting pistols, depending on mitigating factors, it would not be that hard to miss Routh. Actually it may be a good that Routh was captured alive, so he could be interrogated.

You don’t get within 10’ and miss. Unless you wanted to. Then after you miss the suspect gets away and hauls arse down the highway?

Yeah, nah. This has some real frickery going on.

Yeah, I mean, it's not like the ss was firing on a guy he didn't actually see. With a service pistol.
Against a guy using level 4 (heavy rifle rounds) protection.
On the other side of a fence.
Secret service are body guards. They protect their assignee.
You are NOT doing your job if you go chasing off over a fence after a perp, and that perp ends up being a decoy. Now are you?

I really don't like it that you are making me have to defend the SS here.
But let's use constructive thinking skills, shall we?

Everything I've read and heard so far states Routh never fired a shot.

You make it sound like he was the only protection on the scene. Were there not additional agents with Trump?

And from what has been presented how do you know that the shooter was even in the position to shoot at the agent who engaged? So the agent just fired blindly into brush?

Defend who you want. It’s still a fricked up report. And thanks for sharing your experience. You must have served someone somewhere right?

Do we even know WHAT the agent was shooting at? Did he/she just shoot at the barrel? Was Routh even on the gun or did he just have it set up?

We also know that Routh had his position protected with ballistic plate strapped to the fence.

I'm not arguing what you're trying to say.

But let's take a look at who they're sending out to protect 45.
The woman in charge of protecting him at the rally didn't pass two of the exams.
And another at the rally couldn't even holster her firearm.

No but was he or was he not, in his assigned post? To screen that area of parameter?

I'm very open to the idea that he fired blindly. Possibly into a bush, possibly not. But I Am saying the area had bulletproof protection in place.

I agree that it's a fukked up report.
But it's also fukked up, not to understand what you're talking about.
If you are on guard duty, in the army. You stand your guard. If you leave your post, you end up in the brig. In the SS if you leave your post, your assignee, a president, could die.
Your job is to guard. Giving chase is not your job.
Edit- especially when you don't know if there are other shooters in the area or not.

Weren’t we all pissed that the would be assassin was killed on 7/13 because no questions could be asked?

Now we’re upset that none of these shots hit and Florida law enforcement was able to capture and hold this idiot for questioning??
