For context, it's being changing to Princess and the Frog theme. This was the obvious choice if they were to change it.

clearly this has been in the works for a while, or at least the concept has been. Its unfortunate because the Song of the South is actually a very good movie

I think princesses are demeaning to women. How disappointing. Princesses are kept women by princes. Kids objectify princesses.

i liked that they built the ride around song of the south, but times have changed for blacks since then.
i think they should build the new theme around something like this
presenting a more realistic image of the state of black people today after 50 years of welfare.

This one actually makes sense. A lot of the characters and music are from the movie that makes slavery seem like a fun time. Plus, I go to Disney every year, and I’ve definitely pointed out the lack of black characters before. It’ll be cool having a New Orleans themed ride there.

I mean I don’t really care if they update it as it will probably be a nicer ride now with updated animatronics. Princess and the Frog is a good movie.
I really don’t understand how it was previously non-inclusive. The criticisms and controversies surrounding the movie were not in the ride.

My kid loves Princess and the Frog. But this scene makes me laugh everytime. The black cook has the most stereotypical voice and sayings possible. It is comical.
