They rushed it through with mostly Democrat votes. The plan has 222 votes. It needs 270 to actually start working. Once it does, your vote in Virginia doesn’t matter anymore.
The Founders made the Electoral College so a few big cities don’t boss the whole country. This is a sneaky Democrat power grab to cheat that.
“Every vote counts the same”? Lies.
Virginians are pissed off, and they should be. They got played.

Winner take all laws were already bad enough.
This winner take all on steroids.

Way to represent VIRGINIA, you twat!

So basically Virginia is saying they are counting the votes of someone in California as equal to their own constituents.
I can’t wait to see this shite backfire the first time a republican is losing the EC but ends up winning due to this change.

I don’t think that’s constitutional, but since when do they care?

Sooo. regardless of how VA voters voted VA will vote with most popular candidate. in U.S.? So in 2024 that would have been Trump. Is that what they would have wanted? I hightly doubt it.

You would see dems claiming this law unconstitutional so quickly it would make their necks snap.

The absolute MELT this is going to cause when a loser of the pop vote but what should be the winner of Electoral College challenges this in the Sp Crt and clearly wins will be EPIC

It's not, and the US Attorney in VA should nuke that bitch.

Abigail Spanberger is a man.

I'm surprised that a state can make this change. I would've thought in a national election the same rules would apply to every state.
Crazy.
Crazy.

Yes - blatantly unconstitutional on equal protection.
Also on substantive and procedural due process.

The EC vote is a series of state decisions.
It's not even mandatory for a state to use elections. They could have the Governor appoint the EC or do it via dice rolls

This is not constitutional. Abigail.
Sometimes I think leftists are so fricking stupid, and emotional collectivists that they don’t understand the constitution or federalism.
Sometimes I think they are such Machiavellian control freaks - that they do understand - but they do shite like this to just manipulate the freak out that will ensue when they lose.
I’m not quite sure which category this specific Hunger Games villain this bitch falls into. Much less how she intends to certify who wins the popular vote- or whether she understands that under her theory Donald Trump won Virginia last time

If this had been in place in 2024 Trump would have had a larger electoral win. There is plenty of room on this runway for the plan to miss as much as it hits.

Unless a Republican wins the popular vote, then VA will renege.
