I know nothing about Virginia, but it seems like this should run afoul of their state constitution?? If not, and it circumvents the electoral college at the Federal level, this would definitely shoot right up to the supreme court.

Voters vote on a slate of electors. At least in La. That’s what we do. Isn’t that what the other states do except for Nebraska and I believe one other.
Say Va. voted for the blue slate, and the Republicans win the popular vote ad they did this last election. Va.’s blue slate is going to flip and vote red ? No way.
