This seems like another money laundering scheme
It is. And it's the kind of shite that can tear the conference apart from the inside as other schools form competing alliances. It has happened before and it led to schools openly paying off refs to stay ahead of competing schools.
The next thing you know the conference is dissolved as they're commiting actual crimes in broad daylight.

Official name of the school is Southern A&M. It just goes by “Southern.”

The agenda outlines collaboration in three areas: partnership, opportunity and community. The partnership element will pursue shared opportunities in several areas, including research and economic development. Several possible partnerships outlined in the document include joint faculty appointments, sharing expertise and programs on Title IX and joint pursuit of grant funding.
The opportunity element will seek to expand opportunities for students, including updating and marketing a university agreement on cross-enrollment. It would mean students would be able to take classes at both institutions and establish a partnership for at least one more degree program between the universities within the next few years.
The agenda also seeks to leverage the resources of the two institutions for the betterment of the city, the surrounding parishes and the state, including community efforts such as anti-littering projects and addressing student hunger through the two agricultural centers.
Tate, LSU’s first Black president, reflected on what the partnership between the state’s largest university and the country’s only historically Black university system means for Black students, calling south Louisiana a Mecca for education for Black students.
WTF is this?

An attempt to counter what Huey Long did in the 30s.
The story, as told to me, is that certain actions taken in the 30s like digging the LSU Lakes were intended to keep LSU and Southern from expanding in a way so that the campuses overlapped.

Isn't the blindfolded Lady also colorblind? Why the never-ending references to skin color? Doesn't add up. Counterintuitive. A self defeating argument. Is this actually their veiled confession of inferiority?

Sounds like they plan to almost merge the two universities and turn Baton Rouge into one big black university.

We know why this is happening but any impartial observer would wonder why they are doing so.
SU has a few professors who are decent but the campus is a fricking war zone and an inordinate number of students are there simply to get student loans.

How are you connecting something like this to athletic conferences?
This will not impact the Southeastern Conference or LSU’s Athletic Department in any way.

This is why I have been against bringing the Texas schools into the SEC from the beginning. Those that remember the SWC days remember that this stupid shite is their MO and what eventually leads to conferences being dissolved
You’re an idiot.

Seems like a back door acceptance program for students to be accepted to lsu that otherwise would not be accepted
They’ll pay the southern tuition and fees but get to attend classes at lsu

"It comes down to money with these things. LSU is a [predominantly White institution] and has a lot of more money than Southern, which gives them an upper hand by providing better resources," Southern student Christian Humphrey-Nash said this week. "However, I can’t put my HBCU in the dark, when the students voice their opinions at Southern we are heard. Southern has been improving each semester with new resources on campus thanks to our Student Government Association."
They had me until this quote. LSU has the upper hand by providing resources because they are a public "government-funded" university and Southern is a private HBCU. It's NOT because it's a predominately white institution as that quote suggests.

"Cream" really? Couldn't you have chosen another analogy, like separating wheat from chaff? Anything?
This is a perfect example of why the left has been so successful lately. People are afraid to offend people. Cream rising to the top has nothing to do with color. It’s a function of density and the best tasting rises. But you have been so cucked by the left you suggest I use some other analogy because creme is white. Get the frick outta here.

Last LSU game I watched was when Joe Burrow hoisted that golden football. The following year all the Saint Floyd of Fentanyl shite happened, and the LSU BLM virtue signaling, and I was just done.
If you're still buying tickets and merch, paying your TAF dues and watching these games, you're supporting the BS that these college administrations are pulling. I have stopped all of the above, and honestly my life is better because I spend more Saturday time with my family and our fishing instead of devoting the entire day to CFB in some way or another.

Southern thinks LSU academics has money?
LSU may be one of the most underfunded state land grant institutions in the nation.
The HBCUs and directionals in LA need to be dissolved and students of all races should go to:
Louisiana State University
University of Louisiana Lafayette
Louisiana Tech University
University of New Orleans
The rest of the universities in this state have failed and siphoned off valuable resources from LSU.
UNO has sorta failed as well but you have to place something public in that city.

LSU’s funding is based on a mix of things including a large amount of research spearheaded by Pennington Biomed.
Southern, along with Grambling, tends to be looted by people running their own scams at every level. The band director, the concession sales at games, the registrar, the school president… everyone.
