Apparently most HBCUs are... Had a family friend that was offered a full ride to play softball at an HBCU with a minority scholarship... After her visit and offer, her mom asked me what I thought and I told her no way in hell I drop my daughter off at a school where the coach tells me to not let my daughter live on or near campus...

Yes. Interesting situation currently at Southern, though. Their new President is from the Midwest and has no previous ties to Southern specifically or to HBCUs in general. He is already identifying changes that need to be made from top to bottom to make the organization productive. I hope he is successful.
