Average age in China right now is close to 40. In 35 years, it will be 60.
Is also a factor of people living longer. Monaco is at like 55. Bunch rich folks lounging on the beaches. The US is actually older then China 38.5 to 38.4. Go look at the youngest nations. All 3rd world shitholes in Africa. #1 is at 14 years old. That is because everyone older than 40 is dead

30 years of being shown the way by THEIR Democrat marxists and it all turned back into severe Africa disease

Bingo. China will let their degenerate worthless portion of the population starve and die, whereas we shower this portion of our population with goods and services in exchange for votes.

I fear the answer for China is to kill their non-producers. Murder always plays a role in Communist dictatorships. Got too many seniors? Send them to a “camp.” Problem solved.

It took a lot of hard work to civilize that place.
I guess they didn't have the will needed to keep it that way.

Jo'burg was certainly NOT OK when I was there after that.
Well, you were in Africa.
Maybe he is confused maybe it was the capitol building in DC in 2023, any inner city school in New Orleans, or downtown Portland?

Kinda like the smart Americans who migrated out of the US long ago

Can we at least hold off until the Kardashians can confirm this?
This, it’s sort of like the board is LARPing. I searched for South Africa and nothing at all came up, if the country collapsed they sure aren’t talking about it .
I’m betting OP is getting his info from Zero Hedge and running with it.

I’m betting you’ve never set foot in Africa. Like every other topic, your lack of knowledge/understanding/experience never keeps you from commenting on it. Jo burg was a crime-ridden war zone on my first trip there back in 1999. It was basically Detroit. What South Africa is today is the future of Detroit, Chicago, Baltimore…all of the D run cities that are predominantly illiterate, non-producing shitholes.

Regarding chinese real estate. Forget what you know about how its done in the western world. Big, and I mean big real estate firms, as in 150,000 units going up at any one time for one company, go to the local govt and get land to build. The govt takes that note and borrows from the state bank to build infrastructure, any infrastructure to keep the CCP happy and keep the state run cement, metal, etc companies working.
The real estate company then gets a loan on the project for capitol to build. They then go to buyers who pay for an apartment not even started and take out a loan to do it.
So the same capitol is leveraged three times now. And the real estate companies use the loan to complete previous projects not the current one.
Last year sales were off 40%, to try and generate cash they start discounting, and everyone discounts, sale prices have dropped for the last 16 months something that has NEVER happened in chini before.
Now people own a note, on an apartment that is not even built, and even if it was the price is less than the note they are carrying on it.
The chini govt put a bandaid on it in Jan and then had the propaganda press (in the west) say its fixed. In Feb chinese banks started offering loans to people 70 years of age to be paid off by the time they are 95 or their kids had to sign off that they would pay. Does that sound like its fixed? And these old people dont have enough for the loan and the banks know it so they are trying to stick the kids, in an economy where jobs are imploding.
Not only are consumers screwed, the local govts, the state companies, the banks, and the real estate companies are all screwed.

You’re right and I have no intention of going. Yes SA is a sh!thole but the way it’s framed in the OP it just "collapsed " . LARPing

Interesting read on China but they continue to pull through somehow
As someone else said, the CCP doesn't give a frick about its citizenry. As long as foreign manufacturers are still using labor in China to make their stuff, China will continue to survive. If things get bad enough, the CCP will simply nationalize the work force (ie: central control, determining what and where worker housing is, determining what and how much food they are allotted, etc. while taking all the pay those businesses would normally pay to the workers).
