I heard 10 days
He says we have to have a good handle on contact tracing & he wants to hire 700 people to do it
He isn’t releasing the details to his plan until tomorrow
There’s no way he hires & trains 700 people before next Friday
I am trusting the legislature to handle, if not them people will start doing what they want

Pretty sure the house votes today on a bill to set aside the enforcement part of the EO. Then the senate has to vote. Earliest I’m reading is it’ll be done by Saturday but I’m assuming longer than that.
They’re getting it ready for the event that homey extends the order.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you don't have any such sources.

Congratulations Republicans for Edwards!!
You voted in a moronic liberal. Enjoy your liberalism. Enjoy it!!

He indicated last time he wouldn't extend it into May. Maybe this is him setting up for it to feel like he's being beneficent when he doesn't extend it past May 15th.
All I know is that he let this leak on purpose.

Watch how fast one of his “friends” pops up with a company ready to go to work. If you take away the emergency powers you take away emergency spending.
Understand?

It would not surprise me.
When you're dealing with the political twin of Edwin Edwards that JBE acts like he is, anything is on the table.

I said yesterday that I’d bet money a family friend given a cushy job over state employees handling tracking
I wasn’t even thinking along the lines of a ready to work company

frick him sideways if he does this statewide.
if he wants to keep the shithole that is New Orleans on lockdown, he's welcome to do so

I suspect the "Stay at home" order in name will not be extended past 5/15. However, the relaxing of restrictions will be so minimal that it will remain a de facto "stay at home" order.

Lots of pissed off, laid off workers with plenty of time to go picket the state capital. Dude is going to learn the hard way when parishes and business start rebelling.
