Romans 13

All of you must obey the government rulers. Everyone who rules was given the power to rule by God. And all those who rule now were given that power by God. 2 So anyone who is against the government is really against something God has commanded. Those who are against the government bring punishment on themselves.

It's part of render unto Caesar things that are Caesar's and unto God, things that are God's

The US government also has commandments aka the constitution.

That's what we fight for by obeying the constitution.

Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s and unto God that which is God’s.

When a government no longer rules in accordance with Or against God, then your verse does not apply. Many kingdoms opposed to God’s word have fallen.

So when leaders in the church do ungodly things, we should roll with that to?

I was thinking about that whole ‘submit to government authorities’ thing this morning.

A hypothetical: you’re a good little Christian and submit to the government, then a revolt happens, whether it be for good or for bad, let’s say bad. Now, do you submit to the new authorities? What if there are reports that they are killing people and raping women, but they haven’t hurt you or your family. Do you, as a good little Christian, submit to the new rule? What if they send a representative to collect “taxes”? Do you now ‘render unto Caesar’?

I have another verse: Ecclesiasties 3:3

There is a time for WAR

thats not 1 Corinthians 13

13 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love

Yeah but I'm gonna let the board figure it out since when I point what really is in things like the Constitution or the Bible

it just gets downvotes

We must follow God over man is also a principle stated over and over again in the Bible.

Empires run by people change and stupid evil people can elect corrupt political leaders and that is why you follow the Holy Spirit inside of every Christian believer and vote those evil SOBs out.

Fight.... Fight.... Fight

It's easy...... A man must be true to his heart and conscious. You follow that and let God pass the judgement. I'd much rather face Jesus having been honest to my beliefs than face Him and my only excuse being, " I followed the rules".

But you do you. If your asking, you really need to decide where you stand.
