This must not be accurate. Obama promised this would go to build schools hospitals and help the poor of iran. This was an olive branch to get Iran to love the US. I don't believe that a regime that hates America and the West would use ransom money to fund terrorist

I wouldn't want to be Iran and Hezbollah right now. It's looking like Israel and Saudi Arabia have formed an alliance. They can reshape the middle east very quickly.

It was money we owed them from the past; it was not negotiating with terrorists. Obama said not one smidgen of any of the hokie pokie talk about terrorists getting the money was accurate. All of the money built a baby milk factory and many orphan homes.
They also needed this money to cope with global warming. An extra billion should have gone for the women's shelters in place for domestic abuse. Women need the ability to flee on their camels. 3 million did go to start cash for clunker camels. It was nuanced and brilliant.

Of course it did. White House pulled some strings to take a few groups OFF terrorist lists so they could get the Iran deal done. Was widely reported after the fact.
