Elaborate on your misgivings of him. I don't know a lot about him but like what I've heard so far. I figure there's always a catch...

A lot of what he says is pretty much the opposite of what he said a couple years prior

Not like 10 years prior

High IQ. Quick wit. Self made billionaire. Highly accomplished for his age. Would make a great chief of staff in a Trump admin.

He’s a smooth talker like Obama without any history to judge him so I’m skeptical

Keep listening to him. He makes a lot of sense.

Worried about is lack of track record?
Considering the VERY long track record of the guy in charge now, and the fact that he was elected anyway....and has changed almost every view he used to have and shape shifted and contorted to get the job, how can you trust what anyone says, in the past or present??

Vivek is brilliant. He has great ideas and a very good read on the ills that are causing our culture and our country to decay.

He's a smart and articulate Hindi millennial who couldn't be bothered to vote until 2020. Before that he contributed to the Democrat party, pushed for a vaccine database, called Trump's actions on Jan. 6th abhorrent and egregious, but now won't say a single bad thing about him.

You’re full of it.

“Before that he contributed to the Democrat party”

- it’s laughable if you think this guy is a hidden liberal. It’s been posted that he has made 6 contributions and 1 was to “Friends of Dena”. The other 5 were to Tom Cotton and the CT Republican Party. Don’t know the story behind Dena but she finished 3rd in a Democratic primary for a seat that was safely Democratic. LINK

“pushed for a vaccine database”

Not credible. Provide a source, link, something. No one else has been able to either.

“called Trump's actions on Jan. 6th abhorrent and egregious, but now won't say a single bad thing about him.”

Vivek is trying to avoid attacking anyone in the race so I’m not sure what your grievance is here.

This is a decent overview of Vivek’s stance on January 6th as well as other candidates.

He is 10 years out of school.

He made all his money in Pharma bets being a Hedge Fund manager where he is an expert at getting people to invest their money with him.

He has a law degree but is not a lawyer nor has he practiced law much less Constitutional Law which virtually all of his claims rest on.

He was completely wrong on DeSantis losing his Disney lawsuits and his stances around it showing he doesn't know what he is talking about.

He said that instead of "Don't Say Gay" which was a Leftist thing that it should be "Wait until 8".

He said China can invade Taiwan in 2028 after we get out stuff out.

He was in favor of a national medical database to track citizens.

He was pro vax.

He was pro masking.

He just partnered with Pfizer with his company and is making Billions from them.

He hadn't voted or even been engaged in politics until 2020.

That's just a starter list. I like a lot about Vivek but he needs to prove he isn't a fraud and you don't learn on the job as the most powerful man on the planet.

This might be what he was referring to-

Datavant is a private company that ::

“ will utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to improve clinical trials.”

“offers its clients and partners access to data across their ecosystem which is used for marketing analysis.”

“to apply analytics to this data more effectively, improve drug development, and ultimately save lives.”

“expects to analyze and collate the data using AI with the intention of informing the design and operations of clinical trials, arguing that this will improve the odds of success and shorten the time to market. All while cutting the costs of clinical trials.”

DATAVANT protects privacy ::

“ The emergence of Privacy-Preserving Record Linkage (PPRL) enables government agencies and researchers to connect siloed data using a safe, secure, and ethical framework to formulate longitudinal patient and person histories. It protects patient privacy while enabling researchers to study long-term outcomes, public health and policy, or analyze treatment adherence.

PPRL provides a promising solution as government bodies and researchers delve into healthcare analytics. It plays a critical role in achieving research and public health objectives by tackling health data fragmentation to bridge data silos.”

“ At its core, Privacy-Preserving Record Linkage (PPRL), often known as tokenization, is a sophisticated data integration technique that enables the linkage of disparate datasets while upholding the utmost privacy of individual records. PPRL operates within a secure and privacy-centric framework, ensuring that sensitive patient information remains protected throughout the linkage process.”

Speaks a good game. Smart AF. BUT has lots of contradicting stances. Was pro-DEI/juneteenf but now adamant against it.

It's good he is in as he is able to test others muster but won't trust him until he is an actual political position. As Levin said..."of course he wants to look at the future of the party, because he has no past in it". Just no political track record, and we learned from Trump that that is beneficial.

Let's see if Desantis can handle him on the debate stage as the headliner without hiding behind pointing over to Trump to hide. Not sure why there is so much fear in letting this be the case.

THIS is my impression - although he is FAR FAR superior to Obama in EVERY aspect. Obama was a nothing burger - only had a good image and proper skin ID with an admirable gift of gab.

Vivek has real achievements, but his political resume is vacant. I like what he says, but where his actual mind lives is open to speculation. He is so good a gab, he is the kind of person who could easily fool you unless you do some hard research.

But - at the moment, I like his attitude and certainly his is shown to be a man of real achievement in arenas other than politics.

That would be wild. I wonder what, if any, bombs Ron has for him. I think Ron will do well, even though he is a bit robotic versus Vivek. Ron should blast him for being a slick phony with a checkered past in terms of politics.

Yea,
I’ve listened to 3-4 long form podcasts of Vivek. He is high IQ, very articulate, and seems to have a level of humility.

He has repeated over and over that he is not a politician, and has never been in politics.

His argument for why that is a good thing, I generally agree with.

I will say that something doesn’t pass the smell test with him. I just have mixed emotions about the candidate at this point. He could very well be a smooth talking sheister trying to pull a bait and switch… or maybe not.

Looking forward to the debates.
