It was a great ruling for Republicans. This limits the power of the Executive for the next Democrat POTUS, and Trump can keep using Tariffs as he pleases.

No there won’t. That issue was remanded to the district court. The tariffs are already back in place. This is a Trump win.

Wrong.

How are lawsuits going to affect his trade policy?

Not his trade policy. But the billions in tariffs that he has been bragging about just may be going right back to the businesses that paid them.

this is great news. restricting it to a 10% tariff and a temporary time limit won't frick up the market by him trying to impose 100% tariffs or some bullshite overnight.

that was the entire issue and why he tried to pass it under a different statute to begin with.

a few weeks ago he bumped up tariffs overnight because someone from Switzerland made him mad. That instability is bad for everyone

I believe the section 122 requires an imbalance of goods and services, and the US does export a lot of services to other countries. I imagine these get challenged over the executive using incomplete measures.

There will be no money paid back from tariffs.

So just to be clear, it wasn’t that big or bad of a ruling? Is the Supreme Court still wrong/compromised?

The narrative has been all over the place today.

Why would you think those two things would be mutually exclusive?

As near as I can tell, the only person panicking was old Bonespurs. He launched into an expletive-filled tirade the moment he heard about it, hardly sounds like a win but if that is how you want to define one, ok.
