Why would Trump endorse him? Ken Paxton is one of the most corrupt political figures in Texas and would bring one of the ugliest creatures into the swamp. He was indicted in 2015 on felony securities fraud charges related to misleading investors, a case that lasted nearly a decade before being resolved in 2024 without a conviction but with restitution and conditions.
In 2023, Paxton was impeached by the Texas House on 20 articles including bribery, abuse of office, and retaliation against whistleblowers, largely tied to allegations that he used his position to benefit a donor. He was later acquitted by the Texas Senate. He was also investigated by the U.S. Department of Justice over similar claims, though no charges were ultimately filed. Notably, several of the allegations originated from senior aides in his own office who reported him to the FBI.
On the personal side, Paxton was linked to an extramarital affair that became public during the impeachment proceedings, with allegations that a donor may have helped employ the woman involved. In 2025, his wife filed for divorce citing adultery. Altogether, these legal battles, political scandals, and personal issues have made him one of the most polarizing figures in Texas politics, regardless of where people land on his guilt or innocence

Gameplan all along. Trump likes Paxton

Why though - the guy is as scummy as any politician out there

Will Ken Paxton defeat the Marxist demoncrat James Talarico?
That's going to be one to watch.
The demoncrats are going to throw everything they've got behind Talarico ... and everything they can dig up at Paxton.
Paxton has all of the old clips of Talarico talking satanic Marxist tranny pedophilia $h!t ... and he should use it.
It should be an easy win for Paxton in Texas but ... things are weird these days.
Edited to ask:
Will Cornyn endorse Paxton once the primary is decided?
Does this mean Trump told Thune to pound sand over holding The SAVE Act hostage until Trump endorsed Cornyn?
There is no doubt that Paxton or Cornyn will beat Talarico. Texass is not that far gone yet.
But if I were Paxton, I would not be celebrating yet.
Trump changes his mind like the wind changes direction.

Still better than that that smarmy a-hole John Cornyn. And if Paxton does somehow prove to be worse then we'll just need to vote his arse out too when he comes up for re-election. At this point I absolutely prefer the devil that I don't know over the one that I do if the one that I do is a POS RINO that keeps voting against the people's interests.

Scummy? I don't give a frick about his past with hooking up with chicks or whatever. Stop voting with emotions and vote for results. 99% of people in DC all have past baggage.
Paxton is all about MAGA and has been very loyal to Trump

Cornyn is not a republican. he is Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, Bill Cassidy, Murkoski, Paul Ryan etc. They are part of the team that plays to lose as the hired pets of the left.
They play the part their masters require, that is all.

If cornyn were smart he would endorse Ken Paxton now in return for some cushy job….
He probably won’t endorse Paxton and he probably already has some cushy job lined up.

Now it’s time to turn the attention to the carpet bagger Cassidy. Time for people to be reminded what he did in 2020 when he put the knife in Trumps back.

Good. Pull support from every RINO who won’t support the SAVE act
Problem is this would have to be Thunes decision , and he’s not pulling any funding from RINO’s

I’m so pissed at Trump right now.
I would be less pissed if he endorsed the Republican primary opponent of every sitting senate republican.
Because frick John Thune.

They don’t need to be reminded. But remind them anyway.

We are poised here in Texas to get rid of Cornyn. He will lose the runoff! With all the video footage of James T. and his woke views will get endless run come the midterms. He is worse than Beto when it comes to being likeable and middle of the road.

I hope you're right.
My family in Texas all agree with you.
They despise Cornyn. Well ... except one, my oldest cousin. He loves Cornyn but he's the outlier and him and Cornyn go back decades in business when Cornyn was practicing law and remained friends since.
Cornyn served on the SCOT if I remember correctly?

He's not going to have any choice.
He already saw the writing on the wall with Tillis and pulled funding there.
WinRed is sucking hind tit right now since Trump exposed them.
Pence is trying to throw a wrench in The Heritage Foundation's gears ... but that's going to backfire.
Thune will abandon Cornyn the moment the first poll pops showing Paxton with a 20 pt lead iver Cornyn ... and it's already at 13 pts.

Anyone by Cronyn = cannot stand that mfer.
I'm ok with Paxton - anyone better than a democrat these days - but the GOPe lizards need to be expelled with gusto.

Now do Thune. Dude is a flat tire. On the front.
They ALL KNEW Muh Russia/Meuller was BS and sat in their hands. Same with Biden’s corrupt election. Will they own where that got us?
The Founders would have been challenging liars and having Duels on the WH lawn for crap like that. They say that ‘people get the government that they deserve’. Maybe so.
