You nailed it. This is about wealth redistribution.

My question to you....what gives you the right to take my money and give to someone who did not earn it? Why do I have to go to work everyday for someone else???

MAGA has done this to a hell of a lot of people

I've loathed Republicans way before Trump came around. I'm never categorized myself as "republican". I have always been MAGA, even before Trump. As i want America to be great. MAGA was also a thing prior to Trump. But people on both sides weaponized it into a "It's only a Trump thing", which it isn't.

I suspect Democrat Socialism will become real popular when trump is gone

So you think that Trump supporters are closet commies?

Explain this, intelligently. I am a net contributor to the government, to an outrageous amount. How the frick is government "heaping mounds of cash" into my net worth?

quote:

When inflation goes up, rich folks get richer, poor folks get poorer

Define rich and define poor. Just saying words because they sound good is not intelligence.

quote:

I think sending out checks is like putting a bandaid on a dam breach

Agreed.

quote:

but I can at least realistically see that the rich have gotten far more generous handouts than the poor and middle class.

Again, define rich, poor, and middle class. Do you believe that the rich are born rich?

People are going to see the status quo (current admin) isn’t actually what they voted for or really helping anyone and will vote for the alternative (the opposing party). The same way it’s always more or less been.

Last week was a warning shot, midterms (at least as of now) are looking like an absolute bloodbath for republicans.

His loyal core applauds this sort of thing. He courted populists; this was the inevitable result.

Burgeoning. Look at the defense of his economic central planning on this board.

None of which "this board" would have supported pre-2016.

They would NEVER call themselves socialists or communists. But they WILL cheer on socialist and communist policies. Just like democrats.

That's not really an outlier, and is way more common regardless of party.

Last week was a warning shot

I don't fully agree with this.

1) New York - there hasn't been republican influence in that state for a very long time. New york going from super liberal to socialist isnt' a big "shift", especially when their option was Cuomo.
2) New Jersey - NJ has suffered the 4th highest outward migration in the country. Makes sense that the guy that only lost by 3% last time has now lost by more. The NJ that got tired of the leftist shite simply moved to Florida.
3) VA - Frankly, Youngkin winning last go round was a perfect storm and likely won't happen again until the Democrats completely frick up the state again. Which will happen sooner than later. This go round, you had a gov't shutdown (DC workers live in VA, not DC), an already very Democrat area, and Youngkin stopped the schools preying on children. So, there was nothing to fight against. But, with the triumvirate of lefties that won, those issues will pop up again. And the VA dems will eventually vote back in another Republican to yet again fix the mess they caused before reverting back to the same policies that got them that way.
4) Prop 50 in California - Highest migration out of any state in the country. It's only natural that a leftist state would continue to drive away R voters.

While i agree the right shouldn't take this lying down, this isn't some "blue wave". This was leftist states doing leftist things.

Knowing Trump the most important aspect of this will be that his name goes on the welfare checks

It needs to go to LSU so we can buy out Kelly and hire an entire NFL team coaching staff with Saban as our recruiter and mega cash for the portal.

-critical mass of people who swing elections.

-people who vote for the things representatives say they’ll do, and hold them accountable for those things.

-not arguing it’s an outlier, just the opposite. not sure your point here.

-didn’t you lose a ban bet to me specifically pertaining to midterm results and then go on to pretend you didn’t remember (we provided receipts for you though)?

The margins (not so much the results) of those elections and way down ticket flips in weird places should be very alarming for republicans going into 26. If you can’t see that, I don’t think you’ve learned much from your previous mistakes.

When did this happen? Give me the year. (you need to let it go, sunshine. There is life outside the internet.)

Again, i didn't say they should take this lying down. However, i don't think it's the "wave" you are implying either. Also, have we just forgotten about massive fraud in liberal states. Who is the watch dog in a state or city that is 100% controlled by Democrats? Other democrats? Surely they wouldn't do anything unfair during an election.....
