Hopefully his own technology is enough to thwart such an attempt. I mean, he accomplished (in the modern "space race") in just a few years and a few billion dollars, what Obama's NASA said would take 12-15 years and cost upwards of $12,000,000,000,000.

Musk is one of the smartest people alive. I have to assume that he has multiple levels of protections in place before kicking the hive and taking on a combination of the Uniparty, globalists, and the three-letter agencies.

I literally just said it would be a big deal if the FBI/DOJ were involved….because…stay with me….they are the US Government.

Who controls the DNC? I’ll tell you. The White House. And that same apparatus colluded with Twitter to silence opposition.

But this is sadly way down the Biden criminality food chain. Have a great mentally ill weekend doing mentally ill activities

Ya see, this is why people should really stop taking everything they see online as gospel.

When this was going on, The White House was occupied by Donald J. Trump.

I’d say it’s a bit nuanced in that Twitter is a private company and thus can’t violate the 1st BUT it gets complex when Twitter had a basic monopoly and the government powers had them doing their bidding. There’s the rub…

My thoughts too. Twitter is a private company. They can scrub and do whatever they want without repercussions no matter how wrong it is.

I think the line for legal action here is did someone from the government use their position to coerce Twitter or force Twitter to act.

Or did Twitter who seemingly built this process and infrastructure out intentionally, just act based on their own piss poor judgement and requests from the blue check mark crowd especially their buddy the democrats. Who have seemingly zero issue abusing their relationships.

Be interesting to see how musk handles this on the go forward.

It appears James Baker was intimately involved in the decisions to censure the laptop story. Who did James Baker work for before joining Twitter as general counsel? Oh yea, the FBI. The same FBI that already had the laptop and knew it was legit. Nope nothing to see here. Get you head out of your commie monkeypox arse. This stinks and I would say the same thing if it happened either way. Some of us have principles and choose the Constitution of political parties

Did government actually order or threaten penalties against Twitter? Or just make recommendations/requests?

There is no difference between the two. The Govt doesn't really request anything. Refusal of a govt 'request' nets nothing good.

Kinda of like the recommendation/request for the clot shot.....it ends with 'or else'.

Oh I’m with you that it stinks when hires like that happen. Happens a lot with pharmaceutical companies. Purdue Pharma hired someone from the FDA when they were peddling OxyContin to everyone.

I don’t think the date Baker left FBI is relevant to poster’s point. I think the idea is that there was an easy avenue of communication already in existence composed of individuals extensively familiar with each other, good ole boy stuff minus the “good”.

Baker simply talking with the FBI means nothing though, legally speaking. The FBI would still have to push twitter’s hand at the censorship before you have a 1st Amendment issue.
