Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer are Israel-first. They're quite open about it.

Remember that recent talk from Trump about decoupling from financing Israel and slowly decoupling? That's not going to happen. It's almost like Netanyahu knew how this would turn out...

Are you aware of how long it takes to get an oil refinery to full operational staus? It takes about 7-12 years from intial planning, enviormental studies, premitting.

I'm fully aware. So should we start now or later? Remember. The high cost of fuel was a huge issue this election. We ARE going to take proactive steps to begin the process to reduce the costs.

Right?

I would not expect socialist to address your issues.

Oh they'll address them, it'll just include taking more of your rights away and making you more dependent (read controlled) by the federal government.

So you want to address the issues that won them the midterms, but only in the way you think they should address them? That's not quite how this works muchacho...

I've already said in another post I don't mean for it to be exclusive to what I wrote. You absolutely should feel free to add.

I know I left many things off. You can add them.

Surely not!!! Then the people who have been cheering and applauding at these campaigns and drooling over the commercials will be livid if these big points are not addressed!!

I get that, but it is going to take many years to get this going. They certainly won't be able to get it approved under Democratic leadership!

We won't see a relief for more that the time it takes to get it operational.

1). They ran on costs and prices. So I expect them to take actions to strengthen the dollar which includes beginning to address debt and spending to get started in the process. I also expect them to reduce the tax burden of Americans from top to bottom. I also expect them to foster larger supply of everyday items by being proactive in reducing the burdens of government intrusion on production, transportation, storage, and sales of products in this country.

2) They ran on the high cost of housing. So I expect home building regulations and requirements to be reduced. I expect addressing the problem of the price of timber vs the price of lumber by encouraging more processing of wooden building materials to increase supply. I also expect tax breaks and similar incentives for home buyers.

3) They ran on the high price of fuel. So I expect the problem of too few refineries to be addressed soon. I expect no headwinds to energy exploration and transportation. I also expect no additional taxes or overreaching regulations to be added to any source of energy so the supply of fuel can reach the American public cheaper and more efficiently.

4) They ran on the price of electricity. So I expect a push for increased, low cost, generation of electric power to be a cornerstone of an American citizen cost reduction agenda. I expect a push for more nuclear, natural gas, and biomass electric generation plants to be high on the agenda. Thus reducing costs for the American citizen.

5) they ran on the economy. So I expect an agenda to grow business that does not add cost, but reduces costs for businesses to expand and add workers.

I also expect that they will not engage in endless investigations, committees, and subpoenas of individuals that do not align with their worldview since they have spent two years now calling that vindictive, intrusive, mean spirited, and costly.

Do the dems on the board agree?? That we should hold them to this?"

The people of the USA just got finished soundly rejecting Republicans in an historic blue tsunami, so you think the solution for Democrats is to enact all conservative Republican policies to fix our problems? You're joking, right?

I went back and looked at all my posts, I didn't say that. I also said that was not all inclusive. I have invited multiple people to add to it. So far... nothing. Feel free to add now.

But they should be held to these promises though.... right? To reduce costs and increase supply? I mean you have past posts pointing to the price of fuel at a point in time. It's not going to cease being an issue now is it? If so.. why?

Well they campaigned on the pain at the pump. I'm just saying surely our dem friends taking victory laps are going to hold them to it and hold their feet to the fire to be pro energy.

Just strange none of them have said so yet...... even after months of saying how important it is. Strange.

Which is why they are drooling to put it legislation and shut the government down over a budget impasse.

Oh, wait, what am I thinking... they also ran on a non functioning government and lack of congressional action.... so their voters should be livid at them for this too.

Now that is the things that won’t be addressed. But let’s get that USAID back up and running while another big push of DEI and abortion on command while legalizing illegals and bringing more in, giving them free free free everything. They say they want to buckle the system and rebuild it, believe them.

So here's what I expect from this Congress from the issues they ran on this midterm.

They are going to throw out extreme legalization masked with a good headline like "affordability". Trump will reject and they will say "see they don't want to help".

I doubt you not.

But it's funny how the people taking a victory lap, that complained about all of it, will not come and say they will hold them to their promises and claims.

I wish they would at least say why they won't. Instead of the ole downvote and scram.

And they can even educate us on what else, besides of what I posted (since there was previous issue with it) they can do to fulfill these promises.

Very interesting.

The morons who voted for dems yesterday understood literally none of that post, nor the fact that it's completely tongue in cheek because the people they just elected are going to do the exact opposite of any of those things. People move out of blue states because taxes are high, the cost of living is high, the govt is ineffective, etc and these arse clowns have just signed themselves up for at least a decade (if not forever) of those policies getting shoved down their throats.

If Republicans wanted to just one thing for their voters, they would rush these through for Trump to sign before Christmas break.
