F-15s would be worthless against an insurrection.

Once again it would be necessary. They could easily cut off all utilities and communications and it’s game over any resistance would capitulate in a matter of days.

Based on some videos from when I was a kid where bombers were targeting like monuments and fighters local neighborhoods and just convenient local landmarks, I would not be surprised if some NGO "thinktank" hasn't wargamed it for the government.

Give 51 members of the Intelligence community signed of to a letter citing Russian disinformation in the Hunter laptop, I guaranty they have war gamed using all manner and sorts of equipment against the "wrong" part of the citizenry. Biden talks about those F 15s often enough.

I'm not afraid of the US government's ability to wage war on its own citizens.

You can never win a war with air power alone even if the military remained intact to attempt such a ridiculous mission.

Experience, numbers and the will to fight will be on the side of the civilians even if the technology isn't (in the early stages of this hypothetical war)

The real interesting question to this is, what countries get involved and to what extent. It's not too hard to imagine this inept administration opening the door to NATO forces to occupy US soil for "Peace Keeping" operations. Once the command structure of the citizens in established who to the accept assistance from.

I know some military folks and I've been told that they would follow orders from the president to the letter, no questions asked. If those orders entailed taking out American citizens on American soil, those orders may not be received.

See the bonus army of 1932.

Then, on July 28, the Hoover administration sent in the army and police to expel the marchers from Washington. The troops were led by General Douglas MacArthur.

Sad part is they were WW1 veterans wanting their money early due to the depression.

I don't think fighter jets are the way this thing shakes out. They require a human resource in a seat pushing buttons. A human that may have standards and morals that might not follow orders to kill. It would only take a small handful of pilots to refuse before the majority follows suit.

What I see as much more likely was potentially demonstrated in Hawaii and Nashville, TN. Both of these are scenarios that were very quickly passed off as acts of nature or lone wolf style bombings. I also believe our Space Force has weaponry that few citizens understand.

If this kicks off, the small percentage of servicemen that others here have stated to hate will be the ones pushing the buttons.

Food supply chain disruption would be more effective than jets. People will flat give up when their kids are starving before their eyes.

They can war game all they like, till the cows come home, but it’s going to prove very difficult to contain all of the videos of the US Military laying down ordinance on US Citizens, and the untold number of innocent citizen lives that would obviously result from that.

There won't be internet, wireless cellular service, or non state-run television broadcasts in the United States if that type of situation came to pass.
