Don’t most cities have fireworks ordinances? I mean my deeply conservative rural Alabama hometown city sure did and they’d swoop in if you let off more than handful or period if after a certain time on the 4th.

Where I live , shooting fireworks is illegal but I’ve never seen it enforced.

I don't care for fireworks but not for that reason. It traumatizes animals and people with sensory issues.

Same here. Not enforced around the 4th or New Years. As long as you are reasonable. Don't go setting off any firecrackers at 2:30 AM. Any other time of year it is enforced, though.
