New York City needs to become a disaster sooner than later. It's going to happen so let's get it on. Now the MSM reaches more than 50% of the people and they will paint it the greatest thing since sliced bread even though the city will have more debt than California. There is a reason they go to blue cities. Let them come down here. It won't take but a few found dead on a logging road somewhere before they move on.

Do you think the demographics of the country resemble the 60s or 70s? What about things like home ownership, marriage rates, and family sizes?

I’m not picking on you but this is apples to oranges.

You think it's funny but who in their right mind would have ever thought a Muslim socialist/communist would have EVER been elected as Mayor of the very city attacked by MUSLIMS? That's funny to you?

You see what they are doing in Texas right now, right? I thought the same as you. But when Mosque are being allowed to be built in astronomical rates in Texas it gets a little uneasy. States are going to have to start banning Islam at the behest of keeping our country.

You tried to change the topic from one about Communists to one about Muslims. Yes, it was funny.

I would need to know the specific connections for each variable.

I looked up the SF policies and housing affordability was one in the 60s, too.

Radicalism is typically economic. The 60s were the beginning of the end of the post-War boom (with an unpopular war). We're at the end of an economic boom (it's just dragged out a bit). Class envy is the same but how the rich got rich is different.

Common sense approach really.

What legal approach to dealing with them is appropriate though? maybe that's what the OP was asking.

These policies in NYC are going to crush the workers and poor when the money starts leaving. We all know this is going to happen. Then there will be a rejection of the failed retarded ideology.

There will be no rejection.

It's not only governors who can bail these cities out. What happens when the feds start doing it too? What if it takes 20 years for the collapse?

Does it even matter if things have collapsed at that point when you have 15 million people in a relatively small area who have become totally dependent? Do you honestly believe that those who have become dependent will suddenly reject the policies that got them there after a couple decades? There's no way you believe that. It's the opposite. They'll be demanding more of it, if anything. We have direct evidence of this all around us right now.

And there will be idiots in other places who still wouldn't understand why it didn't work and will be clamoring for it in their cities. And there will be plenty politicians there to promise it to them and probably a federal govt who will support it.

I appreciate the Democrat Socialist. At least they are saying the quiet part out loud. There can be no excuse for so-called Moderate Democrats to vote for these people. We are moving, for better or worse, towards a coalition type government with four parties, Right, Republican, Democrat, Socialist/Left.

Republicans control all 3 branches of government. Is your thinking here that republicans are communists?

We literally just saw this less than a decade ago in NYC when Adams (a moderate DEM) replaced BDB (as socialist)

quote:

It's not only governors who can bail these cities out. What happens when the feds start doing it too?

Dude.

quote:

What if it takes 20 years for the collapse?

It won't. These areas are already liberal and require a ton of public money and there isn't a high margin of error if money leaves. It collapses due to its very structure.

You can think of the Thatcher quote.

quote:

Does it even matter if things have collapsed at that point when you have 15 million people in a relatively small area who have become totally dependent? Do you honestly believe that those who have become dependent will suddenly reject the policies that got them there after a couple decades? There's no way you believe that. It's the opposite. There won't be any money. NYC and NY state can't print money.

Why would you think they would become totally dependent? That's just sillyness.

Not much we can do about it as long as people still believe in the political system in this country.

You're not going to elect a better person to run this country that Donald Trump and he has been largely ineffective in making real lasting change from this slow death by socialism.

The system we have is being used against those of us who prefer America to remain the great nation it was founded to be. Unless you can change the system there is no possible way to change the outcome.
