Well now we know why the Shreveport cops didn't arrest him for the alleged DUI.

Seems like this is way too soon too fast for him, with a very checkered background in his short tenure as mayor of Shreveport.

Louisiana has never gotten over their historical Frenchness.

He's got the ONE (and only) qualification that the Democraps are looking for.

I'll let you figure out what that is.

Sometimes I forget Bill Cassidy even exists.

Cassidy best Landrieu by 11 points in 2014

She had the name recognition and war chest to compete and even that didn't land a dent.

Cassidy will win by 15-20 because of this presidential election year.

The dui does no favors to Perkins either.

Haven’t lived in the Port for over 20 years but obviously still have many friends and family residing there... so many feel duped by this fraud of a major. The same people that helped him get elected. Many that shared same similar military background have watched him piss away the trust they once had

All about timing. He's trying to capitalize on the BLM movement because that's his only chance. Even with that he still doesn't have much a chance.

It amazes me that supposedly educated people can be so easily fooled. Damned fools. Military service does not automatically equal conservative political views.

pathetic. You would have to be a moron to vote for this guy for another political office. He is exactly what we don’t want in politics. Looks to want a career as a swamp politician. Limited experience to actually lead at that level.

For certain people, there's only one requirement for them to vote for him.

Perkins checked a few good boxes coming into the job (young, Harvard, West Point) but has been a big disappointment.

Not sure he can stand half the time.

He'll get that Soros funding, though.

I mean, if the rumors are true about his DUIs (plural) and political kickbacks, he's managed to rival Dollar Bill Jefferson in less than half a term.

The Hayride had a pretty good article about why he was the perfect sacrificial lamb for the Democrats this year, though.
