Honestly, I wonder if someone is paying these individuals to stir things up. If you want to truly resolve social injustices, doing things that do nothing other than completely rile up the opposition are ineffective.

I've never seen the soldiers who do stand guard actively engage with the crowd.
ETA: Apparently they do correct or silence the crowd as necessary.
another video
And the POS in the picture taking a knee with his drawers showing really pisses me of;, you can't get anymore sacred than the tomb of the unknown soldier and he knows this. what a POS.

I can at the very least take solace in knowing this man will never know success in life. He'll always be down, always be hand-to-mouth, and the lowest on the totem pole.
That's what his protest brings to mind for me. A worthless person who will always stay at the bottom. That's his place and that's where he'll stay... Order is simply restored.
This and the fact that his acts, and those like them, will probably hurt the Neil N. Bob "movement." Hopefully this pic gets spread far and wide and others emulate him to the detriment of the "movement." (Obviously I'm against shite like this, but it would help end shite like this.) The NFL will (or should) run from such an association.
I stood next to someone who got "corrected" by the Old Guard, Gunnery Sergeant Hartman style. Hell, I almost yelled, "Sir, Yessir!"

The answer to this question is based on some degree or percentage.
But, I think you'd be shocked at the percentage that would be.

I love my doggies.
I know that the militarization of the police and the War on Drugs are big issues. If "BLM" had addressed those issues in the broad sense, there could be discussions. When it became "Black Lives Matters," it changed into a purely race issue and people tune out. It is human nature. And, the first shooting that started BLM turned out to be a justified one.
Though often in different ways, Hispanics suffer at the hands of police, so do whites. Both are larger populations in the U.S. than blacks, so why set up a group that, in title, seems limited to one race?
Also, the presentation seems to be a lecture rather than a discussion. I used to use the lecture approach on social issues that were important to me - until I figured out that it was a complete waste of time and was ineffective.

Nah, he's kneeling in awe of the heroism of those entombed, and the service of the honor guard!

Wait a minute now, the speech police will be by shortly reminding you of how racist you are for using this terminology.

In the good ole days a nun or teacher would have dragged his arse off to the side and beat him senseless.

Would not end well for the protestors.
One of my best friends from BCT ended up in The Old Guard. He's liberal as hell today, but I have tremendous respect for him.

The changing of the guard is one the most awe inspiring things I’ve ever seen.
Anyone that kneels in protest or just gets down on a knee and looks bored is an idiot.
