Like it or not, our Navy patrols most world waterways and provides shipping lanes order and protection. So this just might not be considered a forever war to provide this patrol.

Now, should the world pay for our security services? Absolutely yes, but they never have and probably never will despite the blather of the US political class.

It is not.

We won’t even sail our own naval ships through the strait right now and haven’t in months because everytime we’ve tried they all had to empty their magazines to defend themselves from missile, drone and small boat attacks and we don’t have the bullets to keep resupplying them.

The blockade of Iran has zero to do with the Strait of Hormuz. Iran is still attacking ships in the strait. The flow goods and oil through strait is still at a trickle because we can’t defend every ship going through. Those are all facts.

I do believe we should until we are told we can not.
