Leftists are so violent. Was talking to a girl I knew as a bartender one day years ago and when I didn’t agree with abortion at 9 months she wished for all of my nieces to be raped. She later tried to get a job at a place where I was a regular and I talked with the owner to make sure she wasn’t hired.

I've seen lefties make this same argument often.
The Kirk killing really brought this out with my circle of acquaintances.
In one of the many go arounds after the murder, someone made a comment about being pro-life, etc. One of the demons I grew up with told him he hoped his 10 yo daughter got raped by a person of color so they would have to debate an abortion. I kid you not. Then the demon told the other guy he was in a "cult".
I'm pro choice but I would never dream of telling people things like this.

Basically. A lot of us are still under the illusion that we're just debating politics and that those people are only like that because they received some bad information. It can't be helped, we don't live in their bubbles where we absorb all that bullshite 24/7. We only see a woke every now and then talking about wanting all of us dead, and they are brushed off as lone wolf crazies.
If we lived in their bubbles, we'd see, as you said.. they view us as evil. A level of evil that can only be eradicated by killing us and everyone who isn't a part of their ideology.
Imo, if not for their fear of our law enforcement foundation still in place, they'd be behaving like ISIS used to at their peak. ISIS also believed themselves to be morally righteous.. the belief that they were correct and that all their victims were evil... is what they probably used to justify committing the most heinous and vile acts imaginable.
There're a lot of woke who are pissed off that Charlie's killer was arrested. Because they believe that eradicating evil should be praised and not punished.

It’s why Trumps DOJ failing to do anything whatsoever to the deep state apparatus driving this attempted revolution is so infuriating and heartbreaking.
IF they were prosecuted and the funding went away to MSNBC and the media that’s been driving this “evil Trump fascist” narrative for a decade plus we might be able to let the air out of the balloon slowly and keep it out of the ditch potentially.
But we have to be objective: an entire generation has grown up being force fed this narrative their entire adult lives and that programming is absolutely not easy to unwind particularly if times get tough economically due to AI, debt service issues or loss of reserve currency status.
This isn’t going to be an easy path back to a sustainable political “normal” where the two sides are able to share common goals even if they disagree on tactics.
